Altoholic problems (and replacement for it)

I've used Altoholic addon for a long time to be on track with my alts and transmog bank alts. It's one of the most important addons for me. Recently my server got connected with other one and i happily made few bank alts more (so i can actually play my old ones!).

Now, problem is that my altoholic wont work properly with characters on different server. Altoholics main window shows them all properly, counts gold amount, shows their inventories etc. but on tooltips it does not count items from different realm. I've checked "show counters for connected realms" but it does not change anything. (show) "all realms on this account" is also selected. Is it just bugging out?

I'm also open to other options. Any similar addons out there? Does ie. Bagnon show itemcounts in tooltips etc.?

It works for me. Try deleting the Datastore files in your /WTF/Account/ACCNAME/SavedVariables folder, and having them repopulate.

Are you sure the tooltip counts you're seeing are caused by Altoholic? I had the same issue, until I found out the counter was being added by Adibags and not Altoholic. Disabled the Adibags counter and Altholic's took over.

Yes, i don't have any other inventory addons and after deleting datastore files ie. hearthstone counts were updated correctly after logging in different characters (but only inside same realm) I use TipTac addon for tooltips and checked if there was anything that could interfere but nope.

Ok Altoholic is working for me HOWEVER it only counts the items in my warband bank on the tooltip of the item. It does NOT show them in Altoholic when I do an actual search for the item. That means in order to find out if I have any I need to have at least one on me to see a tooltip rather than just being able to search. What the heck am I doing wrong??

Bumping this for attention. It does not seem that Altoholic addon searches warband bank at all.

As soon as any of my chars hits lv 80, Altoholic ignores them. I switched for the most basic stuff to Titan panel.

    Hope somebody has an idea....

When I look at the DataBrowser.lua I only find that it searches in the character storage, and then (if activated) in the guild bank. So as far as I can tell the search never even attempts to find something in the warbank.

The tooltip instead should always add a line for the warband at the end according to the tooltip.lua, but that does not seem to work for me. Sometimes I can see the row, but mostly it does not show it.

Generally I wished the tooltip would simply show in the first row the amount of the items the current character has, then the amount in the warband, and then the next 10 chars with the highest amount and then finally a condensed ("and (total amount) on (amount of characters with the item) characters"). The tooltip is pretty much unusable now having 50+ chars.

Other than that altoholic is really great, considering it's huge database it still has a reasonable performance. But the issues with finding items, and knowing where the items are - the main reasons for using it -, really suck pretty hard.

As far as I know there was a fork of altoholic, but it had malicious code, so the original author himself updated the addon again and did not allow further forks. But now the development is stagnating again, probably because he (no longer) has the time needed to maintain it.

And it seems no one else is attempting to create such a sophisticated alt manager. Really a pity.
