    It feels very lame to have a healer roster of 6 healers when mythic SoO is two healable. I hope tuning for Mythic will be pure win in WoD so not 66 % has to sit out.

    I've been seeing this six number thrown around a lot lately, and while T17 raids won't be two-healable (except maybe the odd Garrosh-like boss where damage is absurdly low), the chances of you ever needing 6 healers on any fight at all is slim to none. Most fights will probably be doable (but difficult) with 4 healers, and Watcher has specifically said over and over that 5 is the target.

    Basically what I'm saying is if you think you can get away with 6 healers in WoD, you've got a bad surprise waiting for you. Someone better either warm up their DPS spec or get very good at sitting on the bench.

    Well, I tried MW in 6.0.2 and felt a huge relief after beta-dark-feelings period. Without considering numbers I simply enjoy the spec. It feels even better then before the patch. Call me crazy, but I love Soothing not giving chi, the play feels more predictable now. And now Sooth + surg are really strong and dont drain to much mana. I love TFT change too. It was to brainexploding for me, now it is much easier to play while anticipating huge aoe. Im not big fan of uplift thought, but you cant love everything =)

    But if to consider numbers maybe Im noob, but priests and druids make me sad panda. Especially priests. One button - top hps spec.

    Also, I still want xuen revamp and CE removed. Hate CE for MW with all my heart.

    P.S: later in this thread someone told Chi Torpedo can be redirected in mid-flight to make it less awkward to use. It seems its no longer the truth (tested yesterday). Thats why I dont like Chi Torpedo, its to long, and you can easily put yourself in poor position. Maybe draenor perk will make it better, but for now CT is awkward and so much time consuming

    On an entirely different note, someone made an interesting observation on the battle.net forum (good lord, useful information coming out of there, what has the world come to?) that the number of healing events generated by RJW in Crane (one tick per target replicated by the statue as well) has an odd quality of building up a lot of GotS spheres, far more than it would in Serpent because Eminence has a 0.27 scalar while Statue Eminence has a 0.13 scalar, giving every tick of RJW a 0.4 scalar per target.

    If RJW ticks every 0.67 seconds, each target would generate 0.6 * GotS spheres each second, which with 13% chance would be a 7.8% chance per second per target for a sphere, so if you had nothing better to do and 5 targets to AoE for 20 seconds you could build up a whole 8 GotS spheres, which would be somewhere around 1.8 RJWs of healing in that time.

    Wait no, just kidding, that's terrible, like every single thing about GotS's scalars.


    Also @vancheng, wait til you get to play with PoM and 30%+ multistrike, it actually makes Uplift a very powerful ability.

    Total, I have a good feeling about it, the mood changed completely for me. Also thanks for all math you did.

    Btw I was never sad about Life Cocon, until now... I just noticed that Iron Bark is actually 1 min cd, while Cocon is 2 min. And we have perk that reduce cd for 20 sec, while druids have perk to increase periodic healing... So they get 200% better skill with nearly the same periodic healing boost effect and 40 sec lower cd. And... why we even need healing boost for absorb shield? I mean it is great to have you healing boosted while decreasing dmg. But its not working fine with absorb. Blizz cant be serious with this. Hope they will look closer at it

    People have been saying that the HoT increase portion should persist regardless of the shield (albeit probably with a slightly shorter duration, 6 seconds maybe) literally since the ability was created. We've never gotten a straight answer as to why it just goes away when the shield is consumed.


    So u think PoM is the default way to go?
    If the 3 charges aspect and 15% ReM boost aspect were different talents, it would still be like:

    3 charges of ReM/RSK > 15% ReM healing boost > awful BotS heal > taking Chi Explosion but never using it > Not having a talent > actually using Chi Explosion

    The fact that the first two are in the same talent makes even considering any of the others out of the question. Chi Explosion is in a league of its own for how bad it is, potentially the only talent in the entire game where taking it and using it is less healing than having no talent at all.

    Ran UBRS on monk did fine with rem and uplift but the same didn't work well for Ordos. At all.

    Raid keeps wiping and I'm just out of ideas really. Keeping up RJW on the stacked players and generating as much chi as I can to uplift.

    Is it intended that the legendary meta no longer works for fistweaving? I mean, it's still proccing, but it has no effect on the mana cost of my abilities in crane. Still works fine with heals in serpent.

    Excuse me, but I have a little offtop question here. I never played melee dps, but now with crane stance it became a thing I should learn. And here is the question: is it viable to dps throught mouseover? If yes how can I ensure that my target is constantly in front of me without constantly spining camera and runing here and there trying to get in position. (also I cant dps with mouseover while spining camera). Is there any intellegent approach to melee dps when tank moves?

    If mouseover is not viable, then I stuck in not comfortable situation: I heal with mouseover and use 1,2,3.. for self-cooldowns chi brew and etc in seprent, while in crane I have to dps with 1,2,3 and rebind cooldowns on different buttons. Does anyone have same problems? Need a little advise here plz

    Maybe there is macros or something to follow your target? And is there any button to choose closest target? (for now I have to choose my target on screen, and it becomes very hectic when dealing with large trash packs. Tab doesnt help much).

    Sorry if my question is noobish, but I realyy struggle with this, help plz

    You can't change directions, but you can significantly reduce the distance you travel. Just press Chi Torpedo and jump at the same time. Most of the traveling time will be spent in the air and you will have only moved a few yards. It's only not worth using right now because we have way too much mana regen. At level 100, you will find it difficult to use RJW consistently, so Torpedo is a great mana-saving alternative.

    Thnx for pro tip =) I bet you right and I will use it, but isnt it awkward that we have to use jump and then skill to make it not so bad? Anyway I dont think it is the bigest problem for MW currently

    I did an 8/14 random mythic run this week. There was another monk that had slightly less ilvl than me. (I had 570)

    He was almost always ahead of me and I was wondering why and I noticed that Soothing Mist was one his abilities that healed the most (if not the most), even on bosses with a lot of AoE damage. I kept doing the same as prepatch, ReM + Uplift "spam" and SoM+SuM to build up chi, so even though I had a lot of more AoE healing than the other one, I had still less HPS.. Dunno if thats how it should be right now, but single target HPS shouldnt be higher than AoE HPS.

    Ive only played my monk briefly since the patch but one thing i noticed was the statue almost never stopped using soothing mist even when i was not casting soothing mist myself, or any other spell for that matter. Though i don't know if the statues heal counts towards the recount.

    Hi, I've got a question aout "Fistweaving Chi Management" in this well-written useful guide.

    Am I right thinking we always need to use the following chi spenders in a 5-chi cycle : 1 RSK + (1 RSK if MS proc or 1 BoK) + 1 TP ? Can Blackout Kick be still considered as a filler then ?

    The thing that scares me the most is that the only reason why i'm a decent healer atm is because revival+rjw make about 40 to 50% of my heal

    The first will be soon nerfed to the ground - again- ( because it is pretty stupidly op atm, as it was pretty totally useless 2 weeks ago ...) and the second will not be as usable as atm given the loss of mana regen

    Soothing Mist is extremely strong in the amount of healing it puts out for how much mana/time it costs. Basically any time you're not doing something else you should just be sitting on Soothing, and only stop to move or cast another heal. You don't have to choose between Soothing and AoE healing, it's just something you do all of the time when you're not doing something else.
