    That should do everything you need well. I've pushed for the 4790k for the AutoCAD/render workloads, and the GTX970 is, well, simply the best high-end GPU in terms of performance/watt. The case it a liottle overkill, so you can drop that down to something like the FD R2 or something. No Optical, because those are pretty cheap if you want to get one.

    If you wanna go with 1 card, tenagrychickens is better simply cause you don't overplay for some parts. You can fit sli in the budget tho:
