If you decide to go with DP for Imperator you should get benched.

I don't claim to be a great player, but I've been using DP/FV for pretty much everything. Last week on Heroic Imperator that was still enough to put me in the top 10% of ret pallys for the fight.

On another topic, I'm very reluctant to go get PvP gear. First, I hate doing it, and second, farming PvP gear for PvE just seems wrong. Third, of course, is that if I DO go get it, that's when it'll be hotfixed out.

Parses are one thing but important damage is another. Strong CDs for intermissions is tremendously useful. Ditto for killing big adds fast. The rest of the fight is very forgiving.

Having HA/Sera etc up for the big add on second transmission and completely shitting all over him makes you feel like you won the game, parses be damned.

Parses mean nothing if you can't get past progression. Much like Garrosh you swap a talent based off of the strength and weaknesses of your group.

I took seraphim/SW because of the focused burst it offers every 30 seconds, it's good for the aberrations, it's good for the ogre mages, it's good for 8 target AoE aka the last phase.

You can use FV DP of you're assigned to blowing up the small adds during transition phases. Personally my guild assigned rogues and DK's so I stayed on warmages with Seraphim.

I'm sure there would be used for HA too.

He has 4pc, Scabbard, and 8 more DC procs than you did. That's really all there is to it. Everything else looks basically identical.

The problem with seraphim on this fight is that you're not going to delay your seraphim for whenever the abberations spawn. Seraphim does not line up with the adds spawning in P2/P3 (Where they matter). For progression it also depends on how many melee you are running (6 is the minimum unless you want to make rangeds life a nightmare) and how you handle p3.

Final Verdict is really strong for all of the above and sanctified wrath, while being great for warmages and all, is not very good for progressing mar'gok because all it leads to is you blowing up one out of 3-5 abberations and then doing mediocre damage on the rest.

I'm pretty sure on our first kill I was top 1-3 on every aberration (except the small fucks that spawn because dpsing them would be stupid outside of divine crusader procs) and amongst the top on cho'gall.

I don't know if people talk about mythic when they talk about talents used for mar'gok, but the fight is significantly different from normal/heroic mode.

I only talk about heroic from my experience, it's probably going to be subject to change when mythic margok comes for me in a week or two, chances are I'll be running SW/FV or SW/Seraphim. that IF I actually get to play ret. Chances are I'm gonna be tanking it unless we find one of our deathknights able to do it.

This is starting to get absurd. We have one of the most informative OP's on the site, with dps and weight charts, apl's, explanations of the different talents, etc. and people still come in asking about weights.

Rather than being nasty and flaming out, why not be patient and not so antagonistic? It'll get you further in life than you think (not to mention the perception people have of you on here).

That said, some of us are still trying to figure out how all of these numbers work. We aren't perfect and we are going to ask questions. If someone doesn't want to answer them and be KIND, why even be here except to be nothing more that a keyboard sheltered bully?

If someone asks a question that is in the OP. Literally the first thing when you see the thread. Its pure laziness on their part and its not on us to be "nice" when they are lazy. Oh they know about it. as for the ETA on fix, no idea

Sad part is, im thinking they are more on the side of nerfing it than fixing the problem properly. All speculation from what i know but not looking too good on the time frame of when it gets fixed and what will happen when they do.

Asking questions is fine. Clogging the thread with questions any non-illiterate will have answered by merely gleaning over the OP for 3 seconds is not.

You're not asking us to tolerate inexperience, you're asking us to tolerate abject laxity that comes at a detriment to the quality of the thread. Maegor isn't raging out - he's completely justified in getting irritated at people whose time is apparently so valuable that they can't be bothered to take 3 seconds to read the OP and instead pollute the thread with inane questions.

If you want people in the thread to treat you with respect (or kindness, or whatever), the best place to start would be by showing us the respect of actually reading the OP, rather than coming in here, asking inane questions on a whim, and then getting upset when the thread doesn't dance at your command. You can call Maegor a keyboard-sheltered bully all you want, but the fact of the matter is that your behavior is just as devoid of normal social graces as you claim his to be.

Lets say I macro scabbard to AW. Am I loosing dps?

Because scabbard = 1.30min cooldown AW = 2min cooldown.

You lose DPS by not macro'ing it to AW, actually. You always want to hold Scabbard for AW unless the boss won't die in time.

You dont want to do this because there are times where you want to pop Scabbard outside of wings. For instance if the boss is going to die within the 30 seconds of cd difference or if your running SW/Sera, you pop wings get to 5 hp pop sera than scabbard.

lol, that post was from 2 months ago and on pg 28. Guess I can't rage on you for not reading the thread. And ditto to what PraisetheSun said. I still stand by my statement in that post though, we do have one of the most informative OP's, not only on the site, but for any spec on any site. I put together a spec guide list for my guild with links to various guides for each spec, and few came to the quality of Solsacra's post in terms of information and upkeep. So, again, thanks Solsacra for all the work.
