6.0 PvE Ret Paladin Theorycraft & Discussion

Pretty sure it's not the DPS people care about, but the fact that lower item level PvP gear is not only competitive with, is, in fact, superior to, current mythic PvE gear.

Sure i understand that. But like the MoP PvP gearset, why not just use it to your advantage until blizzard fixes it. I don't think its the end of the world with this is in the game. Just let people use it to get by. If you dont want to use it then don't. But don't come to the forums claiming the sky is falling and that we need to run to blizz to put it back up.

And I agree with that. It's not really a gamebreaking thing and is entirely optional, but I do doubt it's intended - much like the MoP Holy 4pPvP...Or the older Prot tier set with the extended GoAK duration. It'll get fixed eventually. Period.

Because you could buy or make that set easily. It didn't compete with raid gear, rather it complemented it. And for anybody that takes their dps seriously this set is mandatory, which means grinding conquest, which means sitting in ashran queues, doing 2's and 3's and the cancer known as rbg's.

Who's saying they can't do 2's? People are saying 2's are aids, which they are, and always will be. And by Ret paladins being at the top, you must mean Vanguards and the other 2 rets(that are always at the top). Cuz thats all I see.

Sim it. I'm going to speculate here and say that SimC will build up 5 HP before blowing Sera+AW+Trinket+HA, though.

I do pretty frequently. HoW+ J + ES as you run in, hit seraphim as you reach melee.

Even without four set gets are still beasts 4 set just puts us to broken god status. Maybe celestalon was righ . Rest are going to be GREEEEEAT! I dare say this is the best launch we have ever had and dare I say best tier? So far? This must be what being a pure DPS feels like because every fight I've been prioritised on has been for our absurd consistently high single target.

TLDR needs fixed, PVP gear is better than PVE for 99% of the player base can get and you can get it way before it's replacement. (heroic tier is when it beats, pretty sure normal tier is either equal or a little higher)

Send in notes and reports and forum posts till fixed.

Those sims are a joke its far more then 1k considering it beats full mythic wf socke . That said 6/7 mythic and no real imperator pulls till holidays end. I'm late to the conq party but ill finish in time if it survives. Be nice to sustain nearly 40k

Once Foundry hits we'll even out considering almost none of the fights require pure single target damage.

Fire Nova will beat anything on 4+ target cleave.

I never said they weren't strong, they just aren't as strong as everyone is making them out to be. You don't see 10+ rets on the front page for 3's like you used to see Warlocks/mages

Our damage isn't really going down its all up from this point. Saying ST isn't valued is like saying st isn't valued on siegecrafter. Lich king garrosh because hurrr adds single target always will continue to be important and its a strong niche of rest at this point. One of the most basic things of raising is pushing boss phases before X occurs. Guess who is the cannon spec that can help achieve these goals?

Well considering they nerfed the 2set from 50% to 25% a couple of weeks ago with a hotfix it means that they can still do it this week,no need to be a maintenance day. Hope they give a heads up though.

Speaking of which, just got my first 660 conq piece. The other three are 620. I think it's still a minor DPS increase AFAIK, maybe.
