Hey everyone
Hell yes.
Streaming is the way to go. I hate how stupid and vile the cable companies are getting.
And maybe I'll be able to actually watch Doctor Who on the day it comes out rather than the day after everyone else watches it. One good thing about Korra being digital is I get to watch it when everyone else gets to watch it.
Putin khuliyo
halle-fuckin-lujah.
I Torrent Game of Thrones, True blood and other HBO shows, I don't like it, but I do. I've been saying for freaking AGES if they offered HBO Go as a standalone platform I would buy it day one, so I can get all these shows legally.
Hell if the CW start a similar system, I won't need BitTorrent anymore.
Check out the blog I write for LEGENDARY Indie Label Flicknife Records:

What took them so long?
Only the money will show them what we want, buy HBO Go and more companies will follow, it fails and it will not be tried again in a very long time.

Definitely the wrong move imo. This is a thread about a business decision, not a thread about discussions regarding a specific show. Hell, even if this thread had been "Do you think GoT should be made available online?" it would still be a General OT discussion because it's not discussing the show itself. It's a very clear and important distinction. This thread belongs in Gen-OT.
HBO is not the only one CBS is also launching its own streaming service.

I wonder if they'll all be douchebags and require a cable provider to allow access like ABC.go
If there's a show I don't have the channel for already and can't watch on the internet, I'll watch it on the internet elsewhere. I'm not buying 100 new channels to watch one show off one channel.
TV wonders why it falls behind compared to services that let you watch exactly what you want, when you want, often for free.
Now expect everyone to charge 15$ a month then expect half the networks to die and a few of the remainder to buy up whats left.
