My movie teaser review full dialogue

Costumes they have right outside the theater room.

Here goes. First of all, it was definitely a teaser NOT a trailer. I would also like to point out that there were zero blizzard staff in the room. There were no less than 7 people with Universal Badges all in suits watching everyone in the room like hawks.

Film starts and we see a clip of Duncan:
"Hi everyone, we are hard at work bringing the world of Azeroth to the big screen. While we are still very much in the early phases I promised you guys last year that I would show you a lot more at this years blizzcon. So we've pulled together a special extended version of the clip we showed at Comic-Con. What you are about to see are in development cinematic teaser piece. It will introduce you to the look of the world and characters and introduce you to our two main protagonists, Lother of the Alliance and Durotan of the Horde. I hope you enjoy this first look at Warcraft and i'll be back after this piece is played with one more surprise."

Cuts to an overhead fly by view of a cgi stormwind(hngggggg those banners!) Lothar in a voice over during the flyby "I've spent more time protecting my King than my own son." We see Lothar sitting in a room that looks like some sort of Armory to me. He has on full plate armor and is holding a large sword and there is a shield on the floor next to him. Then it cuts to the throne room in stormwind( imagine the throne room in game, its about spot on) Lothar - " Does that make me loyal(cuts back to Lothar close up) or a fool?"

Cuts to a desert rocky looking region that I am assuming is Draenor. Durotan-"I've led thousands of warriors into battle, but I fear being a father." We see Durotan walking for a second then it goes and shows Durotans baby mama lying on the ground with a pregnant belly. Durotan-"Does that make me a leader, or a coward?"

It cuts to what looks like Durotan sinking in water with a weapon above him? Lothar-"Some see death as having some greater purpose, but when it is one of your own it is hard to grasp anything good comes from it." While he is saying this it looks like they have found a dead orc in Azeroth and Lothar touchs the corpse and he sees black blood.

We then cut to a giant wood gate with two orc grunts pushing it open and Durotan talks again. "Our hope is destroyed, there is nothing to go back too. Is war, the only answer?"

Cuts to a battle scene in a forest region, large number of Footmen and Orcs charging each other. We then see a floating Dalaran then it looks like some high elves, I can't tell for sure but I am guessing it is the Kirin Tor. Then I can't really tell if it was King Lane or Lothar but he is walking with a Dwarf towards the great forge in Iron Forge. Short clip of Khadgar doing what looks like an arcane blast. There is a really cool clip of a Gryphon riding in and tearing up some orcs.

And that is it! Hope it helps some people.

I assumed from the concept art they'd retcon Dalaran to be floating int his time period. Ah well. That's the evolution of this kind of fluff and homage I suppose, I can go with it or drive myself crazy with nitpicking while ignoring all the awesome in spite of the "hey now".

I expect this to finally show a video game inspired movie can be an actual film, and divorce itself from the baggage of the genre.

I can assume it is when medivh and khadgar were riding in a book when they came to stormwind

I really want to post my vid of it, the quality is crap but the audio is fine. Really concerned for my account though, but at the same time people at home got hosed hardcore.

I'm more concerned by the fact they look entirely CG from that poster. I had expected just slightly less realism than orcs from LotR which were all prosthetics, but that orc poster makes me worry that it's going to look like the Hobbit, all style and no substance. Why do movies nowadays insist on making everything so fake and shiny and overproduced? Give us some damn realism.

I would just upload the video in a zipped folder via a filesharing website.

I thought the poster looked fine. Warcraft has always been stylized, why would the movie be super-realistic looking? It'd go against the the style/theme of the games.

Orcs in Warcraft are absolutely monstrous, they can't make suits out of them come on guys. They aren't even that comparable to LOTR if that is what you have in mind.

Also that shot of Orgrim looked pretty damn insane, pretty much better than every Orc I've seen from The Hobbit. (Which are CGI)

Can't wait to see it all in motion.

Not gunna lie the part about Lothar having a son bothers me more than a floating Dalaran. Even if that the time it was just a city on the ground.

You should be more concerned about your freedom than your account. If they're serious about it and find out who you are, they can easily get you arrested.

Why? Why does any of this bother anyone? This is an ADAPTATION. It would be incredibly stupid to stay completely true to the source material. You know why? Because the source material sucks. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great elements in it which makes for an incredibly fun universe to play in. But as a narrative, it is convoluted garbage.

Take the bit about Lothar. Lothar is a paper-thin character we know next to nothing about. Hell, who's to say he didn't have a son in the game's continuity? We don't even know if he was married, what he did before the First War...we know NOTHING about the guy. And you're going to take exception to something that gives that character depth? Hell, make Turaylon his son for all I care. I mean, why not? It's not like it would ruin anything, because we already know so little about the connection between the two. It would give depth to their relationship and give increased meaning to the part where Turaylon takes up Lothar's sword to defeat Doomhammer. And none of this would change anything in the Warcraft universe, because it's not set in the Warcraft universe!

Same with Dalaran. It makes more sense for it already to be a floating city than for it to have been rebuilt, torn from the ground, and then moved halfway across the world. It's one of a million ridiculous story points that an adaptation can and should completely ignore.

I am pretty sure you dont have it and just want to tease others.

Sounds very cool. Thanks for posting.
Cairne wanted to thank him again, to offer encouragement, praise for a task so successfully completed. For being able to bear such burdens. But Saurfang was an orc, not a blood elf, and lavish compliments and effusion would not be welcomed or wanted.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if they did just that. Maybe not literally (the Turalyon we know) but it would actually make a lot of sense to slowly build up the character of Lothar's son, then use him to fill the role that Turalyon does in the games (taking up Lothar's sword and defeating Doomhammer).
Game fans might not like it but the general film audience would become far more attached to the character that way then to simply introduce Turalyon as a new guy later down the line - Games have the advantage of much longer, more slowly building story so there's more time to see all sides of the characters.

Durotan's mate (Thrall's mother) is named Draka.

As a reminder: The movie hits theaters in two years XD

I wouldn't be surprised if come BlizzCon 2016 they announce Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal coming to the big screen =O

Maybe shoot both movies at the same time but release them 6 months apart ala Lord of the Rings =O
...Ok, time to change the ol' Sig ^_^
