Leeeeeeeeeeeeeroy...?

So, how do you actually do this achievement? wowhead comments are confusing me.
Do you need to res leeroy after the second boss and then kill everything, up to and including the Son of the Beast, and then escort him there?
Or kill everything excluding Son of the Beast? Or something different?

So tried this twice so far, once were we didn't kill any trash and Leroy got smashed when he pulls the whole room after the second boss. The second time we raced and killed everything bar Son of the Beast, Upon Leroy arriving there he was instagibed by the Son of the Beasts charge which leads me to believe that you also need to kill it before escorting Leroy as I can't see how he would stay alive through that fight with random charges and the aoe fire on the floor.

Bring a class good with AoE damage, like a combat rogue, ress and just run through the instance. Don't go with him, just clear the place before the timer runs out.

When we tried it last night our tank said that he had tried it in another group earlier where they cleared all trash and killed the Beast too, and Leeroy had just run to the room of the Beast and despawned and no achievement. So last night we tried to leave the Beast alive until Leeroy arrived but he instantly just ran into some fire on the ground and died since he has basically no health at all. So I dunno how u are actually supposed to do this.

You clear everything including the beast and ofc the 2 ogres on the way to last boss. He runs to beasts room and u get the achiev if hes still alive. If he despawns its a bug and not something you did wrong.

We did this 3 times yesterday and it worked every time:
-Kill Kyrak (second Boss)
-Someone rez Leeroy and some dialogue will start and after the dialogue you will get a 900 second "chicken timer"
-You must kill every mob in between Leeroy and the Son of Beast. (Literally, every mob including Commander Tharbek).
-Kill Son of Beast.
-When the "chicken timer" expires, Leeroy will come running and loot his shoulders and you will get the achievement.

If you left any mobs up they will attack and 1 shot him so be careful that you got all of them.

Did it with randoms, kill second boss 4 people go up to be ready to pull trash, while 1 (dps) that can ress resses leeroy, then rest group pulls trash while resser runs up. Then kill EVERYTHING you can upto beast (leroy jumps to the third boss arena), and kill beast. in the end had 60 seconds to spare, before leeroy started running. That was with 2 trash packs at a time at the start, a bit too many mobs for my taste.

this way got 900 (chicken time) + 60 (leeroy talk time) + 1 dps running+ leroy running time in seconds to clear.

My group got it by killing EVERY single trash between Kyrak and Ragewing clean dry, even the ogre guards standing before ragewing's area. We killed Son of the Beast right as the chicken timer ran out. I was worried the fire hazard the Son left would kill him, but luckily the fires faded out as he walks into the room. Our tank was beastly enough to withstand accidental pulls from my barrage so we had ample time to clear everything before the timer ran out, even with leeroy ressed right after Kyrak died.

Same here. We started with a lets hurry attitude. Comp: Blood DK + Unh DK + MM Hunter + WW Monk and Pally as healer, all 630+. We realised how far ahead we were when we pulled the Son of the Beast with 380 seconds to go. To those who failed it please note that when going up the stairs to Commander Tharbek there is a 3 NPC pack where the last ogre patrols - right before the balcony jump, kill that too. Also we interrupted the ogres before releasing the drakes up to the Son of the Beast and we decided to open the cages ourselves and kill the drakes just to be sure. Hell, there wasn't even a rat in Leeroy's way.

If he runs in the corner where the Son of the Beast is when you enter the room and despawns without granting the achievement raise a ticket, it's a bug.

We did it first try aswell. Killed 2. boss. Everyone ready? Ok healer awakens Leroy and off we went. Killed all the trash in the room above. Killed 3. boss. Cleared trash till Beast.

Do not forget the 2 ogres leading to boss 5. Leroy will aggro them. You must not have Beast killed when Leroy joins you. Just make sure you tank Beast in the first quarter of the room but far away from the entrance. Thus no fire patches will harm Leroy.

Of course, we forgot about the 2 ogres. Thus we had to kill 2 ogres + Beast. Still did it.

Umm, what? We killed everything, including Beast. Had about about 30 or 40 seconds left on the timer, waited it out, waited for him to run down, and got the achievement. You definitely don't need to leave Beast alive.

As mentioned, you need to clear everything up to and including Son of Beast. After you rez Leeroy, you can start pulling the mobs in the room above the second boss, you don't actually need to wait for the timer to appear. He takes almost a minute (not objectively measured) to run all the way to Son of Beast so you still have some time after the 900s ends.

Edit: There is no need to escort him. But if he dies, he doesn't make any sound so after clearing Beast you might want to go back and check if he pulled any mob you missed.

I did it with my guild and we wiped when it was decided to pop time-warp/heroism on Son of the Beast ... not ideal because you lose a lot of time where it would help on previous boss and large mobs. First attempt had like 45 seconds going into the room with all the ogre handlers and whelps. We pulled everything and Leroy came charging in aggro'd everything and killed himself.

My second attempt, I convinced a group from oceanic-Frostmourne to attempt it.

I was healing it so I had a fair idea where damage gets difficult in H-UBRS. I only told the DK tank to pull if I was at a minimum 50% mana. He chain pulled like a beast. We popped Heroism on Commander Tharbek. Going down the ramp into the room with the ogre handlers and whelps told the tank he could relax (we were doing great on time). we had one death there when Evolve went done but he ankh'd.

Pulled Son of the Beast into a corner and nuked him down with 90 seconds to spare.
