Incorrect this had been a subject & debunked number of times. The Free Month is only counted if you bought the Battle Chest & your account is considered Standard Edition.

World of Warcraft subscribers include individuals who have paid a subscription fee or have an active prepaid card to play World of Warcraft, as well as those who have purchased the game and are within their free month of access. The above definition excludes all players under free promotional subscriptions, expired or cancelled subscriptions, and expired prepaid cards. Subscribers in licensees’ territories are defined along the same rules.

its already down to like 8 mill with this terrible release. one week after and garrisons and dungeons still do not work

Wait, what? I haven't seen any issue past the first day of playing (didn't play day 2). Been playing every day since Saturday. Dungeons have been fine. Garrisons have been fine, maybe a few minor design tweaks, but no major bugs.

This chart shows subscription number world wide but expansion release dates are only EU, US base not asian dates... For example Asia with a lot of subs back then was still in TBC when we were in WotLK.

Well that explains the queue times.

Long queue times are most likely due not to overabundance of players, but rather extreme lack of (tanks).
Not enough time has passed for there to e sufficiently geared players for heroics. But I won't completely ignore the fact that the increasing amount of players is most certainly contributing to bloat. But it's also technically balancing out as there are more people to queue up with.

EDIT: I just realised you were probably referring to the server queue times. :|
I honestl didn't experience them bearly as bad as others because I'm on a low-medium population server.

it'll drop by 3mil in 6 months. Expansions always bring back subscribers.

There hasn't been a jump as steep as this one though, it's more than all their expansion launches combined. 3x more than mop brought in.
