How are casters doing so high of damage?

Not looking top 30 over all for the fight, but if you select a caster and their spec they are still doing really high damage...

I haven't checked WoL, but Warcraftlogs counts damage absorbed by shield as damage (it makes sense since those damage effectively helps the fight). So on logs, casters do normal damage on Shield phase, and extra damage on Charging phase.

We assigned ranged dps to damage him but we completely overlooked that increased damage (+100% magic damage!), asides from using Heroism in his first recharge phase.

Hopefully when also using class cooldowns and prepots accordingly, we'll finally get those missing 12% health down.

He probably did at some point on beta, because bigwigs still says for the vulnerability description that he takes increased damage during that phase. There's nothing in the dungeon journal to make me believe that he does anymore though.

Accurate. He used to take extra damage in the shield phase. It was removed in the later stages of beta.
