I remember when MoP patch came out during cata when Shockadins were big. I just basically walked in Ironforge and took on 3-5 allies at a time and killed each one while keeping myself up.

or was that cata patch during WotLK. It has been so long. Point is, I havent seen anyone take on 5 people like that other than that time.

If you were talking about in a season, then definitely that Resto druid TBC, although, my Assassin rogue would kill them every so often, back when Mutilate was required to be behind the target. That burst with poisons hurt their dots just enough to make them die for me. Could not do it as sub.

    Most unkillable?
Well 70 twinks during mop could reach 100% resilience.
Immortal to anything but fall damage/ npcs. Could still cc em just fine, but rather pointless.
    Kinda broke the bracket.

If anyone played 2's during TBC with a resto druid & SL/SL lock.... well, you know the rest.

I had 4-5 70 twinks and the most resilience I could ever get out of them was around 90% and that was with full Sunwell/BT 4 piece set bonuses and 4 set piece Brutal set. Or the 3 gem slot pants from various Sunwell bosses sometimes gave you more possible resilience. The best character I had for dedicated healing was a shammy with JC and BS. I still couldn't top 90-ish. That character before the totem nerf was obscenely hard to kill.

Resto druids have been obscenely hard to kill at various points. I remember a few WSGs on my RDruid in crafted pvp gear in cata where I capped all 3 flags and escorted most of the flag returns. Freaking bear form and insta heals where OP....

Got it on my shammy. You needed 2x 2pice brutal (2pice stacked). Some grandfathered items (old epic 45 resi pvp trinket or a ZA ring + old resi head enchants).
+ The cloth unyielding set and just stack max gemslot items; 2xgem neck ,2 gem shield, 3 gem mh, 3gemslot head ect.
The bt items lacked sockets, one used rare drops /crafted /rep items.

    The shield spam,hummmm

But well WoW is no Quake

Do you think that anything below 2300 and not 3v3 is relevant when Blizzard stated that they balance the game for 3v3? Obviously if disc was so far above any other healers players at the top would play that and would be the first on the list.

I just love the mindless disc bashing which started because at the start a lot of players who can't even dispell whined about it(I admit the 5 sec silence was OP) but now that the meta is somewhat settled and the season started the good players entered the scene and at the top obviously disc is not the sole king.
Please quote when blizzard recently stated they balance the game around 3v3 (a quote in the last 2 years please - so that it is relevant for this xpac).

Also players above 2300+ rating make up a very small minority of the wow player base, so why would Blizzard balance the game based on a small amount of players? Blizzard would more likely balance PVP for players that are casual and in the 1.5k to 2.2k bracket, as that is the bulk of their subscriptions.

I'm unable to replicate the results you got for over 2300. I'm able to replicate his.

It sounds like you didn't press 'Filter' after you moved the slider. Press Filter.

So... Blizzard should balance it around casual player's inability to play properly? I guess they must be taking your approach seeing how there's so many faceroll cleaves right now.. you think that's better?

I personally prefer PvP to require a pulse so I can't say that I agree.

paladin prot-holy spec season 6 with set bonus from ulduar to sacred shield was pretty fucking insane... not online did they heal / absorb fine, they could do 10k+ burst...
Druid in TBC was strong, but not that strong...

that would be a retarded way to run a business, but seeing MoP and WoD to some extent, you are probably right.

I would put Prot paladin in Wotlk over druid in TBC, at least as melee trying to kill a Prot paladin was stupid, they didn't even need to kite you, compare that to druid in TBC weren't good at kiting or you got a lucky mace spec stun as a warrior they would get wrecked, plus they would eventually go oom, prot paladin never went oom.
Druid ever not good at kiting? Come on now. Dash/cyclone/travel form/roots are all excellent kiting tools Druids had back then too. Perhaps the best kiting tool any serious druid had was the stunherald warrior always accompanying them.

Resto druids in BC, mainly because they were allowed to be brokenly OP in arenas for 4 whole seasons. It was really a testament to blizzard game design to basically allow a class to have a built in +300 team rating for an entire expansion.

Probably the biggest factor in druids being ridiculous at this time was that mana conservation/ mana burning was one of the primary concerns of healers at the time, and druids essentially could still output near 100% of their healing at <5% mana. The second major advantage was cyclone, where a druid could pretty much guarantee 3x cyclones on demand (could natures swiftness for insta cyclone). Also in the age of pillar humping, druids were king with shapeshifting out of snares/slows + feral charge, or simply running away and drinking since they usually were teamed with a warrior or warlock who could peel.

Of course, you could make the argument that it was technically possible to kill a resto druid 1v1 back then, whereas current design philosophy suggests that a dps should never kill a healer 1v1. Arena was far better back when 2v2 was the core bracket, they abandoned this since they don't really want to balance classes, so its easier to justify an endless parade of FoTM candidates by shifting focus to larger teams.

You're probably talking about the Cataclysm pre-patch that I was talking about.

Resto druids in tbc were really good except when you would get stormheralded from 100-0 by a warrior.

Depends for how long, there was that one pre-expansion-patch (think it was just before Cataclysm) when a human holy paladin ran into Org and basically survived a whole raid on her.

In Vanilla, when BWL came out there was a trinket that made shapeshifting cost no mana. At the time, shifting in to bear form kept you at the same % hp, while shifting out of bear form kept you at the same hp total. A Resto Druid could shift rapidly between forms and basically never move from full life.

My brother was a resto druid at the time and we literally did WSG 2v10 on multiple occasions (he bound shapeshifting to his scroll wheel and just kept spinning it non-stop).

    S3/4 Druid

They got crushed in S5 with DKs being able to spam strip HOTs off. Then they teamed up with DKs in S6 and were back on top again.

But no healer was safe from a frost DK with that relic from Ulduar. FS -> FS -> Dead
