The Christmas gift is available in-game and you might want to log in to grab this year's gift: Crashin' Thrashin' Shredder Controller (3D)! There is no achievement that uses the gift this year.

New in 2014 is the set of lounge cushions and transmog socks. You can find the cushions in Gently Shaken Gift. Keep in mind this gift has no level requirement, so you can collect all four by opening that gift on multiple characters. Socks are Bind on Pickup, but you can open Carefully Wrapped Present on any level character, so it doesn't hurt to grab other colors on alts in case they ever become Bind on Account!

This is of course merely observation, but on a handful of characters of each faction, I noticed that I get the Red Socks on Horde characters, and the Blue Socks on Alliance characters. This could means the Green Socks are unavailable or at least very rare - this person claims to have gotten the green ones.

I myself have gotten the green ones, after opening around 5 presents on different characters. I do not know if Horde get Red and Alliance get Blue, but so far I got 4x Blue (Alliance) and 1x Green (Alliance).

I got red on my alliance mage and green on my alliance druid, for what its worth.

On three Horde characters, I got blue, then green, then red. I don't think it's faction-tied.

Regarding the lounge chairs, it's worth noting that if you have slots on your server, you can create new level ones over and over till you get all four chairs.

Well of course the sample size singular me can provide is rather small (I didn't have time to log through all of my characters) but it was kinda odd to only see red on Horde, blue on Alliance - fitting colors. Eh, stochastics are a female dog
Will still believe there's different chances for each faction, with green as the rare variant, until sufficient data has been collected to prove me wrong. I am, after all, a man of science.

I got all 3 colors on my Horde toons, in fact I got more Green than anything. Which works since I like green. It's the cushions that are alluding me. I got all but Zhevra on my first 5 toons. Now I've been through about 16 toons and still no Zhevra >>
