As a new player I have issues connecting to PvP.net.

At first I had to download certificates and after much effort it started to let me in but now the game does as it pleases.
Most of the time it will log me on and other times on its own will it will say that I can't connect to PvP.net.

I know this isn't a technical support forum but I am just curious if this is a common issue among LoL servers or if it is something that is happening to me on my part.
