Blizzard Sending Gift to Veteran Players

Update (4:30 PM EST): Added today's hotfixes.

Blizzard Sending Gift to Veteran Accounts
It looks like Blizzard is planning to send some kind of gift players that have had an account for ten years. A few players have received a notification that a package from Blizzard will be arriving tomorrow. There was a support article about the gift that was taken down shortly after it was posted.

We don't know if the requirements from the support article are the only requirements. So far, all of the people that have received a notification have been subscribed almost all of the full ten years.

If you think you are eligible and haven't received a notification, don't worry! This hasn't been officially announced or confirmed yet. The only shipment notifications that have gone out are from UPS. Blizzard has not sent any emails yet.

If you happen to receive the gift, be sure to post some pictures of it in the comments!

Players who are eligible have received an email at the address listed on their Battle.net accounts. If you did not receive that email, your account is not eligible for this gift.

These gifts were sent to physical addresses of eligible registered Battle.net accounts. To be eligible for this gift, a player must have created a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game's release in America or Europe.

Eligible players in America have received tracking information for the shipment of the gift. Eligible players in Europe will receive tracking information when your gifts are sent throughout the month. If the shipping address in the email is incorrect, you will need to contact us with the updated address.

Sucks for players that started 8-9 years ago, but still cool. I think anyone who has played for over 5 years should be a veteran, but w/e.

    Well that's interesting.

People have been asking for this for a while but I think most were hOping for an in game reward.

Been playing for 9 years and 5 months personally so not eligible but oh well.

    Wonder what the gift is.

Ya that's garbage. I got the game the night it came out, but didn't sub until after the Holidays because I was 15 and had things going on.

Not sure why it needs to be 10 full years, there are probably only a hand full of people receiving this.

Especially if this is a one-off reward.

Wonder why I'm not eligible. I've been playing since the first second the first servers went up.

That's the entire point, though... to keep it to a minimum. Lots of press for a small gesture that only a very few number of people will receive.

I should be eligible, but I've heard nothing of this... Does you account have to be fully active for the full 10 years? I let it drop for about 3 months during cata. Maybe that's why I haven't heard?

I feel so sad for not being elegible just for a few months... but, it is ok. Hope you'll enjoy your gift, veterans... :P

The notifications people have gotten are only because they were signed up for the UPS MyChoice notification system.
No one else would have gotten any notification at this point.

Thats probably exactly why they're doing it. The fewer the people, the less it will cost them.

I started in 2006, so I guess I am not getting anything. Will be fun seeing what the gift is, though. =P

I created my account January 21 2005... does that put me just outside the 60 day window? Because I haven't gotten an email and I think that would qualify as within the 60 days (WoW came out Nov 23, 2004).

I started in January after launch, but have received no such e-mail. Maybe since my account isn't active, I'm not eligible?

That or I started like 62 days after perhaps. XD
