Didn't see any sort of fix my DPS section. Looking for advice for a fellow raider.

My guild is a recently reformed guild and a couple weeks ago one of our core members recommended we try out his shadow priest friend. We had tried this player in Highmaul a couple months back and their dps was pretty low and as such did not come with us to anymore raids. This core player said the Shadow priest felt confident in their abilities, and felt they could perform better now.

As it stands we are in desperate need of cloth using DPS. Including the priest we have 3 cloth users, although one of them sometimes tanks for us. This priest is also the only priest we have for Heroic/Mythic Blast Furnace. We are trying to recruit, but given that this person is friends with a core member, I think they would be a great asset if their DPS was better. Their awareness is very good, they are almost always the last person to die during wipes, and consistently avoid taking avoidable damage. Situation awareness is high, dps is low.

They generally pull between 18-23k depending on the fight at ilvl 670. I don't know much about the state of shadow priests, but that seems very low. Further more they are consistently in the 8-11 percentile for shadow priests according to WarcraftLogs. I personally know nothing about shadow preists beyond that I've heard your rotation is kind of funky, and can be messed up at which point it can be hard to recover effectively. I think just about everyone else in the guild is in the same boat, none of us know what to look for to help this player.

Any tips I could pass along to this player would be greatly appreciated, as like I said I think they could prove to be a great asset to the guild. Anyways, here are recent boss kill logs. I can probably find some older Highmaul logs is anyone is interested in seeing those as well. Thanks again for any help.

only checked one boss and that was gruul. what was it, 34 mind blasts on a fight thats 4:50. it should be more than 50 at least but I could be reading it wrong since Im more familiar with the regular WoL site.

in other words, he's missing out on more than 16 mind blasts ( at least!) and thats 5 more devouring plagues.
only the 16 mind blasts are worth more than half a million damage. and I don't count multi strikes, crits, devouring plagues.

edit 1: I also saw that he enchants both crit and mastery but in 95% of the cases, low dps is the result of low Mindblast usage.
