Electronic muscle stimulation - Anything in it?

I'm considering some gadgets for my neck and shoulders that use electrodes and electrical pulses to warm up/stretch muscles due to the severe stiffness I can have some times and going out walking in the night isn't an idea.

So do they actually do any good or are they just bogus gadgets to scam people for money?

I am not sure about electronic stimulation but my wife and I use a foam roller to alleviate stiffness for different muscles. Here is a link to a Youtube video on it.

    Yeah, those seem nice too.

Well it's a kind of electronical device that sends little jolts of into your muscles to stimulate them. Like these things. http://www.beurer.com/web/en/product...y/ems-tens.php

The foam rollers are very good, i can't imagine the electronic devices actually doing anything useful though. If it's just for stiffness then i'd save yourself the money and just do some simple stretches/gentle exercise
