The two franchised receivers got very similar 5 year $70 mil contracts and talks of collusion run rampant.
JPP didn't get a long-term deal to nobody's surprise.

Ya their contracts look to be very close. Not really sure if was collusion or just the ceiling for WR. They both wanted Megatron $ but no way that would happen as his deal was under the old rules and that just is not going to happen the way things are set ATM.
Looks kinda shadey but we do see kinda the same thing everytime a big name position guy gets a deal the others of their tier in that possition jockey to get same/slightly better just to say they are on the same level. Pretty sure we will be hearing about it for a bit since only a few things for the media to spam us with (we all know the others LOL) until the season starts.

Yeah, link is a no go.
And even if there is collusion, there will be no way to prove it beyond it looking fishy. Nothing is ever done in writing it's all verbal so they can just deny deny deny.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Thomas' agent, Todd France, and Bryant's agent, Tom Condon, currently are both employed by Creative Artists Agency. A source told Florio that France and Condon worked together behind the scenes to land their respective clients matching five-year, $70 million deals.

That's nice, but you can bet your ass that if either of the teams they were negotiating with had given an inch more then the other that it would have been exploited by the other agent to get more money for his client. Hence, I'm 100% sure that Elway and Cowboys front office chatted and got an indication from eachother how far they'd go so as to not get screwed by the agents who were legally able to chat and lign up their deals.
It's maybe a bit unfair that teams can't collude this way and agents can, but that's the way it works so have to stick to it.
....errr, or just not get caught doing it.Deny deny deny till you are blue in the face. They'll have nothing on you unless someone was stupid enough to tape the conversation.

ALSO: G Dan Connolly retired officially, so that's definitely a new starter needed on the O-line now in NE.
I kind of expected him to not return by now, but with it being definite it does mean we are probably looking a line with at least the other starting guard (Wendell) returning, and he was pretty aweful last year (and the year before).
Praying we can get a solid O-line grouping together before start of the season, and not like last year only in week 4. Stork took over the starting centre job last year and did well, so I'm hoping we can get one of the rookie Guards to do the same this year.
If a veteran Guard is brought in at some point it's a sign things are not going well, and the later such a player would be aquired, probably the more serious the O-line problem is.

Sorry, but no.
AJ Green isn't worth 70 fucking million. Holy shit.
We'd have to cut Sanu or Jones for that shit. Maybe even a cornerback. Come on now.

1. I'm a Bengals fan.
2. Dalton's contract is on a year by year basis. Mike Brown could pull the carpet under him next year.
3. This is probably the Bengals' last year to do it. We're going to lose a OL, receivers, and secondary to FA after this season.
4. Aj Green isn't fucking worth 70 million. Sorry, but fuck that noise.
I don't think Green is worth 70 million, but neither is Thomas - Bryant is a tier above both. But while Green has injury issues, Thomas has getting-manhandled-by-good-corners-in-big-games issues. That said, I think Green is a legit #1, Thomas is something between a 1 and 2.
Green is huge for our offense, don't get me wrong.
But 70 million to get manhandled by Darrell Revis?
Cincy's receiver is gonna be tested in week 5 against Seattle, when cincy's offense is gonna have to put up points to win.
Jones, Sanu, Green, and Eifert are gonna have to put up or STFU for me.
Aw, don't mention Revis. Still makes me sad he didn't resign with the Patriots and just reminds me of how depleted their secondary is now...
Huh. Apparently there's an international football tournament. And the U.S. DOESN'T win ever year http://www.sbnation.com/2015/7/18/89...pionship-japan
I do wonder who plays for em. It's not like basketball where you got the biggest stars playing for the U.S. teams.
No NFL player would ever compete in it for fear of injury, but can you imagine being an amateur Japanese RB and facing the likes of the NFL linemen and linebackers? I'd run into my own blockers, fake injury and spend the rest of the game pretending that, sorry, I can't go. Screw getting hit by a 260 pound hulking piece of man that runs faster then me.
In short it's probably good that the NFL players don't compete in this. I don;t think the rest of the world would want to play much longer if they did.
I'm feeling confident in the divison champion speculation this year.
AFC North- Steelers. Even though they have the toughest schedule on paper this year, an opener without Brady takes off the load. Cincy plays a little too inconsistently in the north to make me comfy in picking them to take it, but I predict we will sweep Baltimore again this year.
AFC South- Colts. Roster looks good on paper. Wondering if Gore can give them the production they need.
AFC East- New England. Buffalo and Miami will entertain, but it won't be enough.
AFC West- Denver. Just being safe here.
NFC North- Packers. (Nuff said). Zimmer may need more time in Minnesota to make things interesting again, as does Chicago. I expect Detroit to to take second.
NFC South- Atlanta.
NFC East- Philidalphia. Tony Homo isn't getting anything beyond a wild card this year.
NFC West- Arizona. It's their division to take now with S.F taking a step back and Seattle being mortal.

Seattle is going to win west, no question.
North is obviously the packers
South who cares they won't do anything. Saints
East is the Giants. Lol probably not but ok.
You're a towel.
My predictions per conference:
AFC East: New England Patriots. Sure, some key positions have faded and the team is getting older but with their nice WR corps, Brady at the rudder and with a defense which might not be the best hungry for a repeat, I don't see the Bills having shaped up enough to take it from them... yet.
AFC North: Pittsburgh Steelers. Comming closer and closer to a do-or-die situration in a rather suprisingly open conference, I still believe the Steelers has the talent to cling on to the crown of their conference. I am, however, expecting a strong march of both Ravens and Bengals this year. Should the Ravens not win, I could imagine a wild card and vice versa with the Steelers.
AFC South: Indianapolis Colts. I cannot imagine a world where Gore will fluke in the one thing he's done best his entire career. With some breathing room for Luck where it's not all about pass, pass and pass, Gore adds protection during key passing siturations aswell as a talented back to carry some of the burden and help mix things up. Gore's a workhorse on borrowed time and the Colts knows it.
AFC West: Denver Broncos. Speaking of borrowed time, they're comming closer and closer to their make-or-break moment. Manning is not getting younger and it's time for them to put up or shut up. That said, I expect it's about time the Raiders finds ground and might actualy be able to contend depending on weither or not Manning stays upright all 16 games. Time will tell...
NFC East: Dallas Cowboys. Call me influenced all you want, let's face facts. There's NO doubt the Giants with ODB and Manning are gonna wreck games this year due to outstanding offensive effort, but JPP has been a strong key to their success even during mediocre seasons. Without him on the field, the Giants are not a team to fear the same way. Philly has been shaking things up and will be exciting to follow while the Redskins.. Well, RGIII says he'll work hard this year, I guess? All that said, the Cowboys, despite the loss of Murray, has objectively built and gained FAR more during the offseason than the other three teams combined. Our defense looks solid, offense strong as hell and with Dez locked down, the 'Boys are ready to go.
NFC North: Green Bay Packers. Count me among the people who find this team to be just as explosive and dangerous as it'll get. Rodgers is a monster to deal with, and he'll keep carrying his share of any burden. Aging players is obviously a thing but for this year and probably a few more, the Packers are gonna sit dominantly at the throne for now.. Suprise could be Lions truly shaping up to not only contest the title but win it. Not impossible but I'd say impropable. Likely a wild card for them.
NFC South: Carolina Panthers. I'll be honest and say this is a toss-up choice for me as I don't believe either team, at this stage, will truly stand out and shine. The Saints had their moment in the sun but that's fading fast I feel and between the rest of the competition.. The only real excitement I have for NFC South is Cam Newton. *Shrugs*
NFC West: Seattle Seahawks. I don't like Russel Wilson and not because I don't like young QB's in general - I do. Honestly, the D has carried Seattle for a long time and Wilson has never really HAD to step up and be anything beyond 'good' with Beastmode carrying him on his shoulders. He's not a recordbreaker in the making and he's not a top 5 in statistics or performance. Kyle Orton or Michael Vick could be plugged into the previous years Seahawks teams and won. Not so much this year and as talent ages, it'll be fun to see if Wilson can step up and be a solid QB in the tougher times as he was in the easy times.

My picks.
Afc North - Cincy should win this division with pitt missing bell for 4 games. Balt kinda sucks ass and cleveland does suck ass.
AFc south - Indy should win by a large margin.
Afc west - SD should win, but pay-a-ton might have enough left his normal reg dominance.
afc east - Jets and this is why. Brady gets the well deserved 4 game ban hamma' and they struggle with what's his name. Buffalo will improve and so will mia, BUT the Jets (on paper) look like a beast of a team. They can get insane pressure with their front and now (re)add revis. Their receiving core is prolly the best in the division. Stacy, Ivory, and Ridley should produce an awesome rushing attack. The only weakness is their dog shit qb. If smith can produce a pulse then they should win 10/11 games.
Nfc east - G men should win with their talent at wr and qb.
Nfc south - I think mmochamp sports thread could win this division, but Car might take it.
Nfc north - Unless olivia munn puts AR in her god awful xmen movie, then gb should fall asleep and win this steaming pile.
nfc west - Arizona and it would not shock me if only one team made the playoffs from this division.
You cared enough to post.
Brady won't be serving his 4 game suspension even if it does stick. He'll fight it if it's 4 games and if he does serve it at anytime it will be later on and most likely reduced.
garoppolo is better than the QB's on the Jets.
Also, you clearly aren't Jet's biased (just like I'm not clearly Pats biased).
