Question WoD Crafting: Total stat points?

    Hey there,

Strangely, I wasn't able to find any post related to this question on the web:

What is the maximum possible number of total stat points for crafted items?

For example, Truesteel Waistguard of the Peerless. Stage 1/4 could be a maximum of 105 crit strike OR 105 mastery.

I say "OR" because it never goes 105+105! One of the stats is always lower for like 25% if the other is near the maximum amount. It's either could be 105crit+~74mast or 105mast+~74crit. It also could be 97+85 or similar, but never goes 105+105 or even close to that.

Because of this I assume there must be a total stat number for each crafted item slot and each stages. To stay on the belt mentioned above, it's around 180-185.

Is there any spreadsheet around where we can see how far can a stat combo go up for crafted items?
If no, is there a way to calculate the maximum total stat number for ourselves?

Just change the slot piece and find the 640 version in the list. It will tell you the range.

This has been my experience only, but the amount of stats you get on the crafted items is 1 less than what the total stats are on the Highmaul items. For an example, Twin Gaze Spaulders give you 176 stats between Crit and Haste. If you make the crafted item and get Crit/Haste you get 175 stats. That holds true no matter what stats you get on the crafted piece. I had of the Peerless shoulders (crit/mastery) and it totaled 175 stats. It does not however carry across to other slots.

So that is why you'll never see 105/105 belt because there is no Highmaul LFR belt that has 111 total stats. Actually looking at the loot list for Highmaul LFR there is no plate waste period. Maybe my whole theory only applies to cloth, haha.

the amount of stats may vary, i made a test with a 680 cloak before hotfix.

    here is some data:

    Code:
    stat1	stat2	sum

    76	114	190
    78	113	191
    81	111	192
    83	110	193
    85	109	194
    88	107	195
    90	106	196
    93	104	197
    95	103	198
    97	101	198
    100	100	200
    101	97	198
    103	95	198
    104	93	197
    106	90	196
    107	88	195
    109	85	194
    110	83	193
    111	81	192
    113	78	191
    114	76	190
it is already known since mop and rnd stat, that when there is more of a single secondary stat it is at cost of the whole budget. it means, the more you have of a single sec stat the less you will have in sum sec stat points, compared to an item in the same "slot-type"(you cant compare budget between neck and chest etc.) and ilvl with even sec stats.(this logic applies to all items in wow since mop/rnd stat generation/budget as i remeber correctly)

for clases where the top 2 stat weights are close to each other, they prefer mostly the same amount of each sec stat. classes where one sec stat is extremly good should make the math and maybe choose/reroll so that the preferred stat is the highest.

ps: when you reroll an item, 2 things are random: a) which kind of sec stats you wil get b) how is the stat distribution. check the ah for examples of values, there shold be alot examples of 640 craftd gear ^^. and it seems, that the range of the value are some kind of % of statbudget, the higher the ilvl the wider the range of the stats can be.

    have fun
