Common practice in many MMOs.

Rift. Lot of specs are behind a paywall and even roles for specific classes. Eg Mage Tank is paid.
Guild Wars 2. Revenant is behind HoT as are Elite Specialisations.
WoW. Expansions based classes.
FF14. Expansion based jobs.

And so on. The Warden and Necro do come with Morrowind and Elsweyr respectively but they are also made a separate purchase for people who may just want the classes.

The physical type (2H, DW, Bow and One w/ Shield) are based on Stamina, the two Staves (Destro and Resto) on Magicka. So not only their damage depends on Stamina for the first group, but also their Heavy Attacks only return stamina. The opposite is true for the staves.

I am saving as many sets at CP160 as I can, purely because a) you don't know what set will be nerfed/buffed to better fit your toons and b) personally I am faffing about with non-optimal/min-maxed characters and you never which ones of those sets would be a good fit.



When you play a bit longer, you will see that a lot of abilities can be morphed to stamina (for some classes more than others) and also you have 4 weapon skill-lines that are stamina-based. So yes, while everyone starts with only magicka abilities, you can very quickly be rocking mostly stamina abilities/morphs. Unless you are a DK of course, in which case you better get used to the weapon skill lines if you want stamina abilities

Honestpy they really should make the pelinials bonus baseline aka stam and magicka effect all weapons and skill lines..

Instead fovus on the flavor and builds likely would become more about which resource js better..or at LEAST give all skills a dtam and magica version

Still comes with some versions of the game if I recall but I'll have to check.

I think it does still come with stand alone versions of Morrowind but I'm not sure.

I don't know about the digital or physical version (if you can still buy it) but in the crown store morrowind and warden are sold separately

You can still buy brand new physicals for Morrowind, Summerset and whatnot.

Morrowind is £6 on Amazon right now for PS4.

Actually on US i have trouble with BG's too.

very odd. cause my SO has pretty much been almost exclusively playing battlegrounds at various hours of the day and had no trouble. in fact, last week of even coincided with his vacation, so he'd pvp for ours every day. lucky?

the biggest issue with queue that i had on US was getting a queue and then not getting enough people in, and basically getting stuck inside a battleground that never starts. on EU, I either get stuck in queue waiting or get stuck in "someone denied, you were placed at the front of the queue" loop :/ EU on the better days been far FAR worse for me then US on the worst day :/

Wooo finally hit level 50. Now it kind of feels like the game pushes you towards sticking with the spec you invested all your skill points into. Unless you're willing to pay for an expensive respec that is. Or is it once that you unlock all the skill points from quests and skyshards, you'll have enough to completely fill all the skill trees and become a sort of everyman?

If you ignore proffesions them maybe. But no there isnt enogh to totaly fill up skill points. This addon can give you a general idea how many you can collect in total:

Is a Champion level of 46 to early to do random Vet Dungeons? I've been healing a few today and haven't exactly run into any problems. But I joined some partial group on Captain Blackheart who seemed to think it was to low. Must of been embarrassing for them when I gave them the cheese strat to kill the boss I learned literally doing the boss earlier that day for the first time ever.


Also, anyone know why I got a bounty casting a random heal in Vivic City? A simple heal then 176 gold bounty saying I'll be killed on sight. I mean, that escalated quickly.

160, I would kick 46 immediately. You won't always get lucky with carries or easy mode dungeons, especially DLC will be impossible for you.

I don't know how that happened with heal aggro, maybe you aoe healed a thief or assassin and shared his bounty xD

Some won't kick but yeah better off waiting till AT LEAST 160

Eh, seemed to go fine, and I enjoyed the challenge. I don't have the DLC so I don't have to worry about those which I heard were harder. But I get the gear is kind of pointless until 160. Wonder why they even let fresh level 50s queue up for it. The first time I did it, it was even by accident.

46 is fine for Non-DLC Vet Dungeons. Though in the DLC ones, you really should be far more seasoned. The game actually won't let you queue up for Vet-DLC Dungeons until you are CP300. You can Zone in without using the Group finder, but you will likely struggle.

Got a few more questions if anyone else feels helpful in answering.

Kind of disturbing how the community in this game feels so new, even though the game came out in 2014. Seems like everything is geared for tutoring new players. There are players in dungeons who have actually never ran the place before. Is it just refugees from WoW seeing how bad BFA is?

After you hit 160, what makes gear "better" than the last set. Is there a hard to get mythic gear equivalent in this game? Or is the gear in this game only really different with set effects?

I also remember from somewhere you get some leveling perks for alts after you have a max level character. Is that true?
