Around the time someone translated and posted a few chapters of that I tried to read it. Couldn't do it but apparently Stella didn't only look good? I mean she has nice thighs but that alone isn't enough to make me suffer through yet another shitty fantasy magic high school.

Yeah it's a pretty generic show, probably at the best tier this season after OPM and Noragami tier but that's just because we don't really have many good things.

Stella is great as a waifu girl, but that's it.

Asterisk isn't even on Rakudai's level imo. Asterisk has subpar fight scenes and decent girls. But all of them combined don't reach Stella levels of bae.

On Rakudai: I'm glad it upped its game slightly, after the disappointing first episode. It's probably one of the better cheese-ball battle harems around atm, if you like that sort of thing. And Stella a breast. I mean, best.

I'm not saying they are spectacular, but it's not just "a generic show". It does what it does from it's genre well, it has really well animated fight scenes, and has a good set of characters in it with a relationship/MC's that actually DO something. It's doing very well, a lot better then I expected from it's adaptation, but even just as an anime PoV it's great.
