Likely because they just went through a really heavy emotional scene where all the characters were visibly shaken so they needed to tone it back down and root it into that they are still human and need to slowly come down from that? About that scene: I just feel the music alone felt really weird when they had the 2 girls shopping together and laughing or the DK eating meat. Grimgar is fucking cringey. I've got a soft spot for game anime, though, so I'll give it a couple more episodes. Hunter girl is cute, at least. Rest of them are terribly boring except dark knight kid... I hope he gets AIDS and dies.
