Murky is a strong hero, but without the right front line is very weak. Murky does require the right team comp and in that team comp is OP.

I've never been excited to have a Murky on my team. But whenever I look at the score his siege damage is insane.
I don't know how I feel about the champion yet, (I'm relatively new to the game) But most Murky's I see just keep to themselves lol.
The world isn't as bad as you think.

Matchmaking is pretty horrid, but if we were to label things the way LoL does, hammer would be a marksman (along with alot of specialists) and sonya would be a bruiser/fighter. Your comp wasnt bad because you lacked damage, but i think rather that your team didnt mesh too well, hammer with 2 divers? and ranged characters do really well against murky, murky is really much better against melee

try him out in try mode, i thought he was trash till i tested him. his siege is insane, his damage is actually pretty good too and his lvl 20 2x puffer squat octograb 1 man wombo is just stupid

Well, you don't have a lot of burst damage outside of Raynor and no diving heroes, so there is only so much you could do.
We wrecked 'em. Four healers was enough to survive even a stimmed up Illidan and KT. Not sure about the others but I went with my usual roots build. Increased initial heal and Tranq, otherwise mostly damage talents.

IMO Murky is an amazing hero in the right hands. 9/10 QM Murky players are... well not complete garbage but they aren't getting the most out of him.

My rule of thumb is: if they took Compressed Air over Slime Advantage, they don't know how to Murky :P

Played a game yesterday where it gave us:

Uther + Morales + Lili + Sylvanas (me) + Sonya.

Enemy team had a balanced comp, was a big map (Garden IIRC), initially we thought this looked really bad for us. Then after we realized there was no way we were going to win by playing lanes, we all just massed up mid (level 3-ish) and played "Protect the Sonya" - I black arrowed the turrets to lock them down, and we just started burrowing straight into the enemy nexus because they couldn't kill any of us.

So sometimes terrible matchmaking can be fun - because it lets you think differently about what your teams advantages are

Sometimes it can, but it's only annoying waste of time, like the other game I had Nova, Zeratul, Kael, Raynor(me) and Morales vs a balanced comp. We won teamfights but simply lacked the pushing power to outpush them. Also around lvl 16 the team fights started being more balanced.

In a comp like that it's probably worth recognizing the risk in lane push early on and having someone specialize. Raynor or Kael'thas can do quite a lot of lane push when they spec entirely for that purpose.

Ive had many matches over the last few weeks that the compostion was whack as hell

HoTs matchmaking needs to go to rehab..we need to stage an intervention
