Question about capped SS in opener

so my question is this, What do you do when the RNG god are on your side and you are pretty much just swimming in SS charges in the opener?
Generally i continue with just finishing off my empowerments and then using SS, unless its like a early burn/push then i cast SS. im just curious which is the 'proper" way to handle excess SS procs on pull with cd's.

You should just use the extra SS. The Damage per Execute Time makes it better to waste empowerment buffs than wasting potential SS procs.
But don't interrupt casts to cast SS.
