It's already been proven fake twice now.

The only proof that it's fake I can see and believe is the meta-data thing, though some people are arguing that there is a slight chance this might not be the case. Anyway, I've admitted you were most likely right on the part that CoG is a fake, but...
I don't see any other proofs. And I still don't agree with your argument that "it sounds weird and gramatically incorrect" (for you) is any sort of proof and this is the part I disagree with.

If this is indeed legit, i would guess that this will be the name of a book or a comic etc that will preempt the next expansion, sort of like how the warlords series did with those short cartoons.

This would then lead into an expac based back on Azeroth, with the Old God as a final boss, and since (as someone else suggested) it is based on Medievh's mother, we can be sure that blizzard didn't go back and clear up Karazhan for nothing those months ago.

As has been suggested, it would be a crap title for an actual expansion so i'm pretty confident it wont be that.

It's not a Photoshop, it's an edited PDF, completely different thing.

But, someone on Twitter is right - the PDF says it was filed on the 25th. That's a saturday, and that office is not open on Saturdays.

And like twitter said - it uses same client reference as WoD trademark, which can't happen. Thus fake.

Like someone said in the thread already, the site allows you to instantly chance client reference whenever you want so the fact that the numbers are the same is not a 100% proof this is fake.

Also, as it has been said before, there is a possibility for the trademark office it was registered in to hide the trademark from general searches if the company registering it pays extra money. This is also not a proof of anything.

There is no reason whatsoever to file a document (or even take a picture of a document) using incorrect reference numbers. Lawyers who deal with this dont make that kind of mistakes - especially not "big" lawyers of "big" companies. The only logical reason for this is that the person who edited it didnt know about legal compexities, and didnt know he had to edit the number as well to appear genuine.

It could, but the way I see it, it's rather unlikely.
1) The reference number and not showing up on the general search stuff seems kinda... suspicious. Though it absolutely doesn't make this a 100% fake, it definetely makes it less possible.
2) The meta-data stuff, as someone said, doesn't necessarily imply that this was faked as the same result may have been achieved otherwise - however, it's still something that's rather shady and makes the whole leak less believable.
3) The filling date is weird.
4) Some people claim the title looks and sounds weird (the least important argument here, but still...)

None of those makes CoG a 100% fake, but if you combine all of them, it sure makes it look rather unlikely that this is true.

It's not registered to me, but still all documents (.docx, .pdf) show my name as author. You can enter it at installation time, or later in the options screen.
I may add I doubt it's real, but the metadata should not be the main issue.

It's a pretty compelling argument. I have a lot of experience with PDF and workflow and such, I find it hard to believe a government office that has their act together enough to implement the Acrobat FOP for website searches (and internal ones and requests for reports from the public, most likely, that's what it's for) but would allow employee names to be attached like that. Maybe it's not a red flag to you, but it is to me.

Just for fun, I just went through a folder from work with PDFs from companies and law firms and other entities, and none of the PDFs have the Author field filled out. Granted, this could be an outlier, but my gut says no.

The clincher for me, on top of this, was the identical client reference for this and WoD. That simply is wrong.

I'm not going to slash you for your arrogance or your gullibility. I'll just say that when it comes to things such as think I am ALWAYS skeptical until its proven to be true. I have learned to question everything. Worked out well for me this time, not so well for those that still have that hook lodged in their mouths.
