The issue here is that EVERYONE was expecting WoW announcements at Blizzcon so everyone was PAYING ATTENTION to the convention.
WoW expansion has never been announced on Gamescom, so a lot of people don't expect it and thus simply might not be paying attention to the convention. This is what Blizzard might want to fix by hyping up the event - simply make sure that people tune in.
Well, since my last post 23 hours ago in the first page this has evolved quite a lot. After reading for what seemed 2 hours what appeared to me as fake now appears as somewhat plausible. All of OP's arguments against the rebuttals seem to hold up.
My only remaining issue is the seemingly contradiction of filling date and privacy requirements.
For the TM application to remain private, as explained by Fenix, one has to apply in person. However, for the TM application to be filled at the 25th, one has to apply remotely (via email or website). I can't reckon of a way to do both...
I confess to reading a couple pages "diagonally", so I may have missed an explanation for this. If one has already been given, could someone be kind enough to quote it or, if it hasn't, could someone provide one?
I posted a possible explanation for this previously. Some funny (inexplicably incompetent) shit happens down here in ol' AU/NZ. I'll find the post. Here you go:
To add on to this, to clarify just how silly shit can get here (Most AU and NZ departments are using systems that are at least 20 years old) - ATO, Medicare and FAO are all linked government departments here in AU. They share the same systems. Strange shit goes on. As I said above, it's dubious, but not unheard of. Hell, IT problems are so commonplace in government departments that internal Tech Support generally doesn't offer any kind of ETA on service unless forced to by management.

No, I didn't get a call back, or email. I do have a reference number for the call, so I'll follow up on it in the morning.

That's sick actually and would really like to see that.- expansion will lead us back to azeroth
- main villains are gul'dan, illidan and azshara
- twilight's hammer, azshara and the legion combine forces
- hero class demon hunter, starts at level 100
- revamped faction cities, exodar repaired and floating, draenei and silvermoon flyable, gnomeregan and gilneas real alliance cities
- revamped arathi highlands, dustwallow marsh, tirisfal glades and silithus
- stromgarde a forsaken town, thassarian tries to free koltira from sylvanas
- magatha tries to summon an ocean behemoth with the doomstone and attack durotar
- old god minions emerge from the ground in tirisfal
- strong old god theme in the zones
- timewalker zones, players at max level will have their level scaled down and receive upscaled rewards
- new zones include emerald dream and south seas
- eye of ysera is the new starting zone of the night elves, after the son of ragnaros has taken revenge and burned down teldrassil
- nazjatar was raised from the ocean by gul'dan and is a level 109-110 zone
- tel'abim, plunder isle, broken isles, zandalar, kul tiras and kezan will be zones
- nazjatar will have two raids, rift of aln and a raid with naga
- another raid will lead us underground in tirisfal
- illidan will work as a double agent and team up with wrathion
- gul'dan infuses old god minions with demonic energy
- turalyon and alleria return
- magni is back and he reclaims his throne, has his daughter executed
- thrall returns as the racial leader of the orcs
- thrall has taken grommash with him to orgrimmar
- yrel joins us on azeroth to support us in the continued fight against the legion
- med'an will appear and will be trained by khadgar
- the forming of the council of tirisfal will happen and med'an is set up as the next guardian
- med'an will be the big hero of the expansion
But if that would happen then Blizzard would have HARD TIME thinking about what's with the next expansion. If there would be any?
^I tend to think there's too much detail for that to possibly be true.
Nevermind that Magni wouldn't have his daughter executed.
So, has this been declared a fake yet or not?
Tried peeking about a little for fun, finding all Blizzard's except the existence of "Council of Glades" as owned, or applied, on the Trademark Database (TESS).
Not debunking, just curious in this thought as well.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..
Thank you for finding it.
It is certainly feasible. However, with something as important as a trademark in the corporate world, it seems kind of iffy that a patent officer (really unsure of what they are called) would take hours between receiving the document and filing it. More so since the application was presential one would assume the filing would be done at the spot.
Haha, you really underestimate how incompetent government workers are down under. My wife works for a government department involved with land titles - and they've flat out lost titles before, within minutes of them being brought in. All it takes is one worker deciding to phone it in on a Friday afternoon, and voila, you've got a late filing. Like I said, if they brought it in and filed it on close of business, it's possible that it'd not show up on system until next day (depending on the system involved, who knows).
However, like I've stated previously, there's another explanation (besides a request for confidential filing). AJ Park could have simply requested that the application process be delayed until <x> date - NZIPO confirmed with me that they're okay with doing this, at least for a short period.

I don't get why people may be thinking it can be the next Destiny expansion.
An image was leaked from a presentation and it shows exacly which expansion is coming for Destiny.
Here is a link to the image:

So we can be surtain it is not a Destiny expansion.
