I love it. I like it when certain classes are limited to certain races. It adds to the race's fantasy.

I was pleasantly surprised when they announced that DHs were only available for two races and has two specs. Everyone knew a Legion focused expansion with DHs and maybe Illidan would happen in the distant future, but I always feared they would fuck up with the class fantasy and make a caster spec or stupid race combos like they did in Cataclysm.
It still hurts seeing minotaurs Shadow Priests doing Lovecraftian stuff while wearing Pope costumes. Guess they stopped doing this, or we would eventually see Troll Paladins called Voodoo Avengers or Mecha Druid Gnomes.
All NElfs are xenophobic. Blizzard just completely abandoned racial perspectives with WoW and made the narrative uniform for a single hero with no racial flavor/perspective whatsoever.
Alliance see things through the human perspective, Horde from the orcs. All other races be damned.
The whole appeal of Warcraft was all the racial tensions and how races had different perspectives. Now they're two factions of forcibly shared central values from just the orc and human races.

Uhm...
Yeah, actually you are missing something, it appears.
Two things, mainly:
-First, Satyrs are demons. Former night elves, for the sake of precision. Lord Balthas is a demon, too. Eredar, sure, still a demon... So, I'm not really getting the point in your links. Illidan Forces -are- formed mostly with demons.
-Second, and maybe most important thing, from the very wiki page you linked:
"Composition
Illidan's forces before attacking Magtheridon.
The Illidari include:
Illidari
The main group of Illidari that are explicitly labeled as such seem to serve as an eilte group within the overall faction.

THOSE are the Illidari we are talking about. And there are no nagas, nor other races (just one Eredar tho). Sorry.
The elf restrictions means that Blizz is finally actually prioritizing the lore for once which they haven't done since Cata.
So I'm all for Elf-only demon hunters.
Worgen hard, or hardly worgen?
The poll is rather one sided. Either it's YAY NOTHING BUT ELVES! or 'I AM SOOOO AGAINST IT COS WE WON'T GET OTHER RACES EVER'
Which isn't how I feel; it's fine that it's only elves for now, however there's nothing to say that maybe a couple years down the line we won't ever see them as new races, as it is a class that can be taught providing they absorb a demon into their body (or whatever it is they do, pretty sure it's something like that).
Suitable races only in future though please, like humans, orcs, trolls, maaaaybe dwarf, worgen would be cool but not sure if that could work...you know?
They would just have to change the intro, instead of being an ancient DH that's been in jail for years, it just becomes a ritual thing for those who wish to become one. That's just how I feel.
All my characters are female night elves, so yeah, whatever.
