Mercenary Mode: what becomes what?

Update: looks like races default to another one, with exceptions based on class

human > undead
Dwarf > orc
Night elf > troll
Gnome > goblin
Draenei > Tauren
Worgen > troll
Goblin > gnome
Pandas to pandas

Blood elves > human
Orc > dwarf
Undead > human
Tauren > night elf
Troll > night elf
Goblin > gnome

Confirmed exceptions

Dwarf paladin > Tauren
goblin shaman/Hunter > dwarf
Gnome monk > blood elf

It might very well vary based on class restrictions too. givin that they don't allow shapeshifting toys in instanced pvp anymore.

Guessing it'll be based on class rather than race.

If you're a Troll or Tauren Druid, then you'd be either a NELF or Worgen.

I think you're guessing based on the Orb of Deception, it was confirmed through the PTR that only gnome monks turned into BE and goblin Hunter/shaman became Dwarf, everything else was Gnome to Goblin, and I imagine Draenei Paladin becomes a BE too. All humans became undead but human pally wasn't tested. LOTS of alliance races became orc/troll when possible.

It may be random, with obvious exceptions for some classes of course. Like when I did CoT on my Troll hunter, he turned into a dwarf, while the other troll in my group became a human. I'm a druid so my options are limited, obviously

So ya, guess I'm just confirming what's in your op the only one I have at 100 whose class changes it is the human paladin so can't check the rest.

The only positive of this mode would be if you became a random race (to class restrictions) that way all the popular races don't just switch into the other popular ones.. Can only kill so many blood elves and undead over and over, would rather see lessser played races (for that War Lord title)

On Alliance side at least, talk to the orc to queue for battlegrounds.
