Three months ago was also different in terms of balance. Some nerfing has been going on since then for other Heroes which made Arthas and Tyrael no longer suck as much as they did at the time. Originally Posted by Nerraw

I haven't ever seen Tyrael as a "troll pick", he's always been a pretty middle of the pack warrior imo. Arthas was until Kerrigan came back around and the combo made a solid return.
If Tyrael got a rework to his trait he'd be much more pickable, and with the incoming nerfs to Joh/Leo, we should hopefully see a lot more variety among the tanks.
