something like Natalya? she can have traps for support, and also a decoy like ability for a heroic. Her Q could be something with limited charges and W a trap and E could be another attack. Her trait could be a finisher that does different things depending on what ability you used (sort of like the opposite of Kael'thas, where you use trait to augment your abilities)
I have to disagree with Kerdoz, Cormac would be freaking awesome in Heroes.
Buuut; so we can finally have 5 Diablo bosses vs 5 Diablo nephalem; I think a D3 boss would be most appropriate for a new addition, and Diablo, Azmodan, Butcher and Leoric will need a support in their line up...
D3 bosses that are a support:
Um...
Yeah, well, okay, so d3 bosses that *could* be a support because, you know, MAGIC (and they aren't demon lords of hell and therefore kinda counter-support-esque)
Adria
Magda - both of these are witches so I guess they could provide some kinda of buff/control style support, maybe life draining buffs on allies abilities or BAs
Zoltan Kulle - at a stretch, could shield, throw down time slow domes and whirlwinds to knockback, golem summon or fireball ulti's
Cydea - aoe slows, and maybe targets of her BA's heal attackers for X when they attack.
I dunno, its kinda hard to link "healing" with any of the Diablo antagonists, but it would be cool to see it happen.
Diablo really isn't a game about healing - it's a universe where nobody has support and everybody dies.
With that said, I'd definitely play Magda
Invulnerability shields, teleports, moth dust could be like WD frogs or Zagara eggs, summons minions like Azmodan. Sounds like a specialist to me - lots of lane pressure / lane swaps / some powerful shielding for teamfights (or overextending and never dying between her shields and teleports).
Griswold, melee support - Giving people random armor/weapon/jewelry pieces to give shields/attack(speed)buffs/heals over time. The same "give object" abilities (3 of them) would do the reverse on foes= damage vulnerabilities+slows/damage deceases/damage over time. His trait could repair things around him.
How about a support who does not actually support your hero but instead debuffs the enemy team? Diablo has to have something like that right?
Time...line? Time isn't made out of lines. It is made out of circles. That is why clocks are round. ~ Caboose
Covetous Shen could possibly work. But mainly, he'd just need custom lines for Tomb of the Spider Queen.
"Wh-what do you mean I have to give away my gems? My beautiful, wonderful, magical gems! Surely you can't be serious?!? C-can you? Ah well... as lovely as these are, none of them compare to Dirgest's jewel! Do you think there's anything good to eat around here?"
One day I was walking and I found this big log. Then I rolled the log over and underneath was a tiny little stick.
And I was like, "That log had a child!"
How could this entire thread go on about potential Diablo supports/healers....
And not one person...mention...PEPIN THE HEALER
He could toss Healing potions and Full Healing potions (Latter would be an Ult) that players could "store" and use as needed (would probably add a new UI element, or could just add them to the number line like First Aid would be).
His trait could be: "What ails you, my friend". This could cause a sort of regeneration aura around him. Similar to Brightwing's, only instead of being in large chunks, it would be a constant trickle of healing.
There is a thin line between not knowing and not caring, and I like to think that I walk that line every day.
