Was wondering today what factors are Blizzard using when picking up people. In WOD's beta they firstly invited most of the people with garrosh mythic kills so im wondering what method are they using now.

- When did you signed in OW's opt-in system.

- Got high rank in Hearthstone,SC2,HOTS?

- Killed any mythic bosses in WoW HFC? If yes, what's your progress.

- Have high arena/rbg ratings in WoW?

I am not in but so far it seems pretty random honestly.

Outside of the big streamers I have seen all sorts of random ass people get in. The only real connection they all share is they have some sort of online presence no matter how small. I have seen cosplayers get in as well. I know there are probably people in the general populace too but I think you may be putting too much thought into it.

I have played WoW since 2006 and have not dropped my sub in the whole time and didn't get in so I doubt it has anything to do with something as arbitrary as certain ranks or ratings in certain games. Was in the beta for SC2, Heroes of the Storm, MoP, Hearthstone and haven't gotten Overwatch yet.

That's either intentional or a mistake. Streamers (even those who are not really popular) got access. That part isn't random. I witnessed several times where streamers ended up getting qued for a random match, like Trump against Zilea.

By "veterans" i think they meant their most active players that have high PVP ranking, end game mythic progression. Can confirm that because me and some old friends received an invite quite fast. (7+ years old accounts and we had garrosh M on farm back then).

As for now, i think apart from inviting every streamer everything else is fully random.

He's blacklisted. It ain't random for streamers and press, they will even tell you that themselves if you ask them personally. They have contacts in Blizzard that manually tag them, Sodapoppin was supposed to be tagged along with them but wasn't.

It'd make more sense if it were the exact opposite of these kind of people to get beta access. People still loyal to WoW pretty much tells Blizz that they're not going anywhere

I signed up right away, then several times unchecked and rechecked. Don't do this. I just did it out of weird neuroses.

No I'm very mediocre and in the 30s in HotS and never play, but do own, SC2.

Stopped at 2 mythic bosses down in HFC.

As soon as I returned from Blizzcon last year. Played Overwatch there, got hyped.

Had rank 7 in HS as max, Gold/Silver in SC2 (all Campaign achievements done though, except Lost Vikings).
Rank 1 in HotS before they wiped it, rank 8 atm.

5/13M, slowly working towards killing Gorefiend.

Played 20 or so RBGs, had I think 1100 rating. 2.2k arena back in season 6, haven't really pvped much.

I have all store pets, almost all mounts. Bought VT in 2013 and 2015, visited Blizzcon in person in 2014.

Dude they maybe say all these things matter but they really don't. You're a (at least semi successful) streamer, youtuber or gaming media related? Congrats you're in. Rest (atm around 20% is random is random). This isn't a beta for feedback don't let them fool you.

PTR is for TESTING, It doesnt matter If your a new blizzard customer or an ancient one,
They said themselves they prio streamers , and they check PC hardware , thats it .

The initial wave was friends and family + streamers. The first actual closed wave recent was literally based on people blizzard has in good standing/friends of employees etc. the next wave will be a larger wave with tons of random people, including unsubbed, and regular everyday casuals.
