    Honestly, other than the internet being what it is, the law is honestly fine. It lets newspapers inform the public of whats going on. Lets them know the types of crimes, maybe ways to prevent them, etc.

    Sadly there are a bunch of crazy as fuck ppl in the world.

    Because trying to do that would inevitably be seen of as a big govmint conspiracy - if they've always been open before and now they're not they must now have something to hide.

    Actually the opposite is true, most media tend not to identify a muslim as a terrorist or extremist, take the Shooting at FT hood for example, only conservative media called him a terrorist where as all the other media (the majority) tried to not even knowledge the reasons for his actions.
