That's actually the "moderate rebels" keeping the Syrian civilians in cages as human shields. It could also be fake as well. The rebels and their wives may be putting their own people in the cages to influence world opinion if they do get bombed for being terrorists.

It just seems like a lot of cages lately. Its like a movie prop, where does one get a giant cage from anyways?.

The fact that you go vs an incompetent and less technological advanced military doesn't automatically make you the master of the universe. Plus from the little that i read the vast majority of the planes destroyed were parked on airstrips, but i haven't read details. Will get back when i read the whole battle.

Because it went SO MUCH better when there was 2, right?! When one destabilized an area, the other destabilized another area to draw the firsts attention away from the other area.

    Those were the days!

"Supreme" powers will do what they want. Having more, just means more doing what they want while trying to jam a stick in the others eye.

so for candidates of that.. you want to choose the US.. a country who despite being in war almost since it's inception has failed to win most of them solo. (revolutionary war was france saving the day, civil war was basically a proxy war france vs uk, ww2 was the russians..)

and also a country which HAS used these weapons in the past..how about a country rooted in the history of the entire world. the UK. if there is one candidate for that it's the UK.

or Russia, Hell, I'd rather have Russia with the power then the yanks.. the average yank is a complete moron.

I guess he havent heard of proxy wars before.

Is the West invading countries because "WMDS!!11" an ideal situation? far from it, but I'll take it over several proxy wars and situations that easily could have resulted in a nuclear war.

Nothing like rewriting history to make a point, are you an average yank?

Considering Russia would have to depend on Syria to help it try to defend against the IAF, it is relevant. Even if the Russians achieved 1:1 kills, Syria going 1:40 equals destroyed Russian and Syria air power and a largely intact IAF. IAF F-16s were 44-0 in air combat, and IAF F-15s were 40-0 in air combat, not air to ground combat. And FYI, there is no proof (like history) that the Russian Air Force is competent or equal in technology compared to the IAF. http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Isr...y-finds-380030

Yeah in such scenario that a handful of Russian planes (bombers) mostly go against IAF i don't doubt the result.

Russia cannot deploy enough fighters to Syria to counter Israel, again its that funny thing called logistics!

" In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. Are you seriously trying to rationalize this?
A major Syrian rebel group is using dozens of captives in metal cages as "human shields" in the largest opposition stronghold on the outskirts of Damascus, a monitor said Sunday.

Jaish al-Islam, regarded as the most powerful rebel group near the capital, has put regime soldiers and Alawite civilians it was holding in metal cages, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights told AFP.

The group then placed these cages in public squares in the Eastern Ghouta region in an attempt to "prevent regime bombardment", Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman said.

"Jaish al-Islam is using these captives and kidnapped people -- including whole families -- as human shields," he said.

Government forces regularly bombard the Eastern Ghouta area, from where rebel groups fire rockets into the capital.
    Stop sending rockets perhaps?
The responsible are a huge group called Jaysh-al-Islam. Part of the islamic Front. Apparently this guys are part of a group of eleven that rejected the Syrian National Council and called for Sharia in Syria. Got to love a foursome civil war.

But hey, if you say "dictator" a couple more times, maybe you manage to grab someone else's attention.
