    THE WORLD NEEDS HEROES

    FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE
    Soldiers. Scientists. Adventurers. Oddities.

In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world: Overwatch.

It ended the crisis and helped to maintain peace in the decades that followed, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery. But after many years, Overwatch's influence waned, and it was eventually disbanded.

    CHOOSE A HERO
Overwatch features a wide array of unique heroes, ranging from a time-jumping adventurer, to an armored, rocket-hammer-wielding warrior, to a transcendent robot monk. Every hero plays differently, and mastering their abilities is the key to unlocking their potential. No two heroes are the same.

    PLAY YOUR ROLE
Whether you're engaging in combat on the front line, providing defensive cover with your energy shield, or supporting your allies by amplifying their damage, every hero's abilities are designed to be effective as part of a team. Learning to utilize your abilities in concert with your teammates' is the key to victory.

    TEAM-BASED OBJECTIVES
Teams of heroes do battle across the planet. From protecting the secrets of the mysterious Temple of Anubis, to safely escorting an EMP device through King's Row, the world is your battlefield.

I wonder if this is like that one package for Smite that automatically gets you new heroes as they come out also.

Hard to tell for sure, but this sure sounds like a HotS-style starter pack.

Yeah. The Heroes of the Storm Starter Pack is $20 and includes 5 heroes, 1 skin, and 1 mount. Purchased individually, that's about a $50 value.

Looking at what Overwatch: Origins Edition includes, I think it's safe to assume two things:

1.) At that price point they have no intention to sell heroes individually. However you get the game, they'll always be unlocked.

2.) There will be a seperate "standard edition" that includes all 21 heroes and nothing else.

So, the real question is this: Do they value the Origins Edition bonuses at a $40 value, or are they actually more of a $20-30 value? If the former is true, it's a F2P game; if the latter is true, it'll have a $10-20 buy-in.

I think it'll be the latter (those prices look right to me). I'm curious if they'll do a buy-in for beta though. Such as preorder the Origins Edition and gtf in.

Doesn't look like it, none of the flyers that were posted mention anything but the Noir Widowmaker skin. That video Kaplan posted about the beta also makes it seem to me like they're intending to keep it pretty exclusive and don't want to "sell" access.

Anyway, there seems to be some confusion regarding whether the Origins Edition is $40 or $60, as some people report that $40 is actually for the standard digital download edition, and the Origins Edition is effectively a physical Collector's Edition for $20 more. Though I'm not so sure about that, since it the flyers only list digital bonus content for it.

Guess we'll have to wait until tommorow to find out.

I have a feeling like they'll do a new Annual Pass for Legion that will give u Overwatch beta access. Also I think Overwatch on it's own will be atleast 50% cheaper if ppl don't want collectible items in other games or skins. We'll see tomorrow.

I believe this shows that heroes in the game will be unlockable via ingame currency or real money and that the game is probably gonna be F2P
I come across a quiet river, that wonders through the trees.
I stare into its running waters and fall unto my knees.
In resignation to the forest, that's held me for so long.
I close my eyes and drift away into nature's evensong.
