EMRs save lives. EMRs losing connectivity costs lives.

Businesses would lose a metric shit-ton of money. There'd be much wailing and gnashing of teeth from folks who couldn't upload pictures of their breakfast to instagram, or log into WoW

I think people might start becoming human again.

I think I would be a little sad, but I would manage

The rest of the world? No idea. Don't care.

And maybe people wouldn't have their faces buried in their fucking smart phones?!? Oh wow!

The amount of infrastructure dependent on internet does mean someone could actually die as a result, as a lot of donor organs go to a database, from which they can be requisitioned.

On topic, the world would slow for a day. That is until it came back, and i could spend weeks reading about the shit that happened during it.

Mouth to mouth, resuscitation, recovery position, etc People performing this properly due to on scene internet access will save lives of otherwise dead people.
I doubt the type of person who needs to google how to perform basic triage would actually save a life because of the internet.

I've got enough porn saved on my hard drive to keep me going. also I'm someone who stull buys bluerays and dvds, so would be snug.

I'd just be pissed at not getting to contact my friends, family and loved ones for 24 hours, aside from phone calls.

The PC and anti-PC crowd would have no one to argue with.

I'd read a book, since I was born halfway into the "internet age". A lot of places would probably go mad though. The internet is interconnecting everything now. It's to the point my courses keep calling it "the internet of things" and promising that our shoes will get internet connections for some reason. [beep boop, athlete's foot detected. If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.

Internet or all "online content", like MMOs, netflix, websites etc? Nothing, really. People would watch shit on their DVR and play console games. 6-7 might go outside for the first time in months, but most would stay in their basements. Many, many white girls wouldn't even.

Most non-mobile phones in Germany are VoIP based, which would mean you might not be able to call or reach someone in an emergency situation.
Patient's information is usually saved in central database and could not be retrieved in remote clinics or ambulances.

Sure there are workarounds, but that still means people might die from it.

But generally speaking I don't think much would happen, I don't even believe it would be a harsh financial loss for many, since all stock exchanges would be shut down for the day.
For me, since we could not work that day we would be sent home (if there was a timeframe foreseeable), or play quake 3 in the office the entire day.

And generally speaking this is all just theory, the internet is built around the fact that it is failsafe, and while some countries, part of a country or customers of a single provider might be affected, it is more than unlikely that the entire "internet" would be affected.

I would have a day off

The internet does that a lot with bad weather so 24 hours is no big deal. Go spend time with friends, clean the house, or play offline games.

Billions of babies would be conceived. I would enjoy a rare day off.
