you didn't specify graphics card in option 1.

also, intel iris is a family of integrated graphics cards, can you specify exact model? (for instance, intel iris 5100)

The graphics card on the 2nd option is a Intel® Iris™ Graphics 6100.

    Option 1 didn't actually specify a GC.

Where are you buying these from?
I'd recommend looking through newegg.com, or microcenter if you have one nearby

also googling this gpu (which was released over 2 years ago):

Older and less demanding games such as Diablo III, Counter-Strike: GO oder Dota 2 can be played fluently in 1366 x 768 pixels and high settings.
    fluently in 1366 x 768 pixels

PC World those specs are for. Not good enough?

Could you tell us the exact models? It would be nice to know the resolution as well for example

But based on those specs, probably the second one.

1366x768 is a really small, unusual resolution for a laptop/monitor screen.
i3 and "Intel® Iris™ Graphics" (whatever that is) are very low-end/outdated

Better question - what's your budget?

It is not an unusual resolution for cheap laptops. It is getting more and more replaced by 1080p, but it is still common.

Also the i3 is brand spanking new, it is a skylake mobile CPU.... And I think intel Iris is about on par with a 920m. It is at least better than normal iGPUs.

But I do agree, a budget would help.

It's a broadwell CPU, Skylake would be 6k series and the U stands for ultra low power which is not all that helpful if you want to game on it.

If the OP could say which games he intends to play and what his budget is we may be able to advise something useful.

Iris pro is decent for laptops. Hell, it's decent even for desktop as long as you don't want to play heavy games.

And 1366x768 is pretty much the standard resolution for inexpensive normal laptops. While the flagship and higher-end ones are using denser resolutions.
