I am loving this concept art. Highlight so far has to be this early version of Pipp that was basically the girl friend from Princess and the Frog.

Another birthmas here and gone. Finished She-Ra and once again I have to call it a good show that is short of being a great show. Catra is easily the best/worst character of the show, especially when it comes to the 4th season.

Last two seasons have a few things that really don't go anywhere and look to fill up time. This is yet another show/movie that convinces me that writers just hate epilogues. This show leaves it open for potential sequel of some sort, but I would have preferred if we had an episode of the characters actually enjoying themselves for at least a day before they go "adventure time" and hope more is to follow.

Watched Centaurworld. It got a little Over the Garden Wall at the end there.

It was a fine show, the music is easily the best part of it, a couple of the characters are bit too annoying, even if that is the point, but for 10 episodes it's a nice little jaunt to experience I'd say.

I could see why they didn't use it, a bit too much for a series such as MLP, though it definitely would have fit with the whole racism thing of the movie.

I'll tell you what, writing a query for my book (basically a gist/synopsis of it combined with a small bio) is a fucking hassle and a half. A shame I need this to even send to agents/publishers to potentially get my foot in the door of publishers.

Well after much advice some big things will have to happen to my book. With 407,000 words and 780 pages to make it sellable to agents/publishers I'd have to get it to ~150,000 words. It's unlikely I can shrink it that far so I'll have to split it up into two books and then with that 200k per it'll be easier to shrink both to 150k each.

Yeah, that name for that product is pretty terrible, no doubt.

I almost think that would have been a better look for Izzy, though that concept looks more bookish and shy rather than the almost Pinkie Pie version we currently have. Something tells me they threw the glasses on her in the movie as a nod to that art, it works for either version.

Oddly, I saw the animatic yesterday and it really shows the tuning that can go on with any project, from small additions to even a different singer.

Those wings really help her stick out and it adds a bit more to the world, as some will likely have fluffier wings. I wonder how they'll look in the show, if it stays CG.

Yes I'm serious. I've watched 5 episodes now, it's great.

edit: Make that 10 episodes, so I binged the entire series. Came for a cutesy episodic space adventure, wound up with a gripping 10 part story with intrigue, drama, horror elements, and tough questions regarding the negative aspects of humanity.

And an episode where a series of shenanigans gets them turned into puppies. On those lighter notes, Kimiko Glenn of Izzy Moonbow fame stars as Nomi the pilot and I loved every scene she was in. She carried so much of the humor.

Thinking on that again, and looking at the symbolism, they do use a recurring "hooves to hearts" saying, which that seems to be a reference to. Sunny already seems to be The Heart to their Planeteers though, so it's unclear what it says about them.

I'm finally getting through Superstore as it's relevant to my life. Currently just finished season 2. Animation wise I finished Nana which was a real emotional ride. I wish the ending was a bit more conclusive though. Some bad life stuff has me a bit demotivated to watch anything else right now though.
