Well to be honest even with my beast of a computer I still can't push ARK fps above 20fps. The game is horribly unoptimized to a point where certain things are just not possible in it. Like the fps lag creates server client lag and those two combined makes actual dodging in combat completely impossible. Just SWING AND HOPE HE DIES BEFORE YOU DO.

And I guess my butt is too glorious to not be looked at. How can I turn down such compliments~

You /can/ do that.
If you're ok with losing every now and then to them.
They should be fine if you're only playing (Entreat) Miracles, Lands and Storm or similar decks, where your life total virtually doesn't matter a lot. ^^

But have fun vs anything that turns dudes sideways.

Oh certainly you can, but if you don't mind being down 2-6 life for keeping up with those that have Alpha duals.

I hope this game is good I love the Homeworld franchise.

I am kinda looking at that game cautiously. I should be glad that RTS games are being produced by a more trustworthy company then EA who killed the C&C franchise. But at the same time, RTS's were something I grew up with and the new ones just are not the same as the old ones.

Well I mean that kinda depends on how you play them but yeah of course Alpha duals is a straight upgrade but sometimes it doesn't matter. Half of my duals in my legacy storm deck are still shocklands and it's actually rare it matters, since I'm not playing Nausium.

In the small niche cases yeah you don't need the duals, but majority of the time if you are not playing them then you are definitely not going to be winning all that often. I mean try and play Esper Stoneblade with shocks instead of duals and have fun losing more often than you would have other wise.

Didn't go to the prerelease, but a friend of mine did.
She got a Forbidden Orchard pack one and finished 3rd with 4-1 rw aggro.
Only lost because there were 3 people 4-0 and the other two id'd while she got down-paired.
But hey, drafting for free plus ~30€ is not bad. ;D

ARK is great in the way that there's enough PvE to entertain you, and most servers have their own communities. If you join an RP server and actually play on it you'll make new friends, that's just how ARK works. I really do not like RUST and RoK and LiF and all the others because it lacked PvE, but that's exactly what ARK has. I mean sometimes just taming a dino can take hours, and if it's hit while it's being tamed it loses a lot of stats and shit. I've had encounters where I am taming a dino and I meet someone else and we just pull out a campfire and sit and talk for the remaining time. I highly recommend, if you're going to get it, to join an RP server.

You should see what some of them thar 12 year olds can do, damn children and their untapped potential making me think deeper than I should and almost make me tear apart a community colleges art exhibit of high school and elementary school art students because I am envious of a talent I could have had, but made decisions I am not happy with, ultimately making it my fault and not theirs and then almost having a panic attack.

Mine pretty much have to do with impenetrable force field of can never do anything right and I will fail all the time. It is ingrained in my head too much and there is no coming back from that or changing for the better. Not much hope left for me.
