Is there anyway to set it to look differently depending on the group size?

Yes.

Look at the settings under 'VuhDo Options > Tools > Profiles'. There is a set of checkboxes under 'Activate due to group size'. This lets you activate the selected profile when your group size or spec changes.

In general I would familiarize yourself with the profile and key layout settings. There are some good tutorials available online if you check the main VuhDo project page on Curse.
