    Figuring Out Parts

So about a year or so ago i build my first custom PC. I was very proud of it and myself. I am at the point where i want to upgrade some parts, but i don't remember what i put in, specifically what parts. Like name, company, etc. So is there some way for me to find out what parts i have in my PC so i can check compatibility for future upgrades?

cpu-z will reveal cpu, motherboard, ram, and usually gpu.

other programs like hwinfo will give you a more comprehensive list, such as what parts are installed on the parts.

you can also just open up your pc and look with your eyes, note down any model numbers, then google-fu
