Why Asuras get so much hate sometimes?

So, I've been talking to some people ingame, and during my play time, some people keep bashing on Asuras. I know that some of "us"(Asuras) are arrogant bastards, but most Asuras are fun to stick by.

Why do they get so much hate anyways? I've never understood that.

And you? Do you like Asuras?

I quite like the Asura and their laugh animation is the best of any game that I've seen.

Wouldn't go so far as to say I "hate" Asura. I'm just not a fan of playing smaller races. Never rolled a gnome in WoW, for example. :P
