any reason to set foot in story mode with seasonal character?

Speed runs for the conquest are the only reason to do story mode. You can do up to SK for the free leorics crown if you are over 20 for the xp boost from gem but its not needed. Rifts alone starting at lvl 1 while in a 4m will get you to 70 in 3-4 hours and add an hour or so if you are solo.

I'm curious about this as well. I have to assume he wasn't 20+ when he killed him the first time on the char as I waited and got it. That was the whole point for him is that specific drop for leveling. Although with the gem of ease maybe they removed it.

Gem of Ease has been out since season 2 though, so it would be a weird thing to change now? Idk but still...

Also, I did Leoric at 27 and got the Crown so yeah.

Well, I always do the story mode at the start of a new season because I usually haven't done it in a long time and I like it. Its pace is nice.
