Need help understanding display ports and such.

Basically, my question.. This Monitor is 1440P @ 144 HZ. I'm reading via Google that HDMI cables only support 60HZ? The Monitor comes with an HDMI cable, but if it's 144HZ, why does it come with an HDMI cable to begin with? It'll only show 60 HZ? The GPU comes with a DVI. But the Display Cable that comes with the monitor looks like a USB cable? O.o... Can someone please tell me which cables I need to purchase to get the full 1440P @ 144 HZ? Thanks c:

G-sync will only work with the display port which your GPU has 3 of, so use that, the cable is included according to the link you provided, the HDMI port is so you can also use the monitor with another device like a PS4.

As the monitor has built in USB pass trough connectors there is a cable included to attach those to your pc (same as some keyboards offer)
