Honestly, the physics engine of WoW. Or whatever it is that makes the abilities and combat "feel" more impactful. Might be just a really good combination of animations and sound effects.

Not sure. But there is something about GW2 that makes me feel like when I'm fighting or running I'm not actually interacting with the ground or my opponent. Not sure if that counts, and it's sort of abstract, but it's really the only thing that I think this game lacks.

Also maybe some of WoW's streamlining, every time I take a break and come back to GW2 I feel more and more lost and confused.

GW2 has much better physics and animations IMO.

WoW has more fluid motion though.

Im not sure GW2 characters actual touch the ground

What don't you like about the guild system? I think it's great personally.

Are raids in this game yet? If not, then that.

There is one so far. Pretty decent too.

You stack toughness to control aggro not vit

I honestly like how it's a loose trinity currently. There is a lot of flexibility in what people can bring and do and be successful in the raid wings. I'm really looking forward to being able to switch builds on the fly much easier once legendary armor is done and at that point I think a lot of the strengths of the current system will start to shine. People who have the ability to play their characters in multiple ways instead of just one will be really valuable.

Honestly, WoW's questing system (pre Cata)
Leveling in this game isn't fun. My first (and probably only) character is a Charr Thief at level 65 now, and I've noticed that in order to get exp at a decent rate you basically have to grind events. Which is ironic considering one of the advertising points of the game, IIRC, was not having to grind quests and the "epic dynamic events"

The only zones I've shown interest in are Ascalon (because <3 Charr), other than that I don't really know what's going on in the story. It doesn't pull me in like other games.

    Am I doing it wrong?

You can honestly completely skip grinding out levels and just do a profession or three to get 80 really quickly. There's no reason to rush max level though, just enjoy the game for what it has.

I'd take 2 things. WoW's questing system and the Housing system from FF14. I know we already have Guild Halls but I honestly prefer the housing that FF14 has brought.

I'd take the more entertaining stories, dialog/scripts, and voice acting from SWTOR and enhance that part of the game.

But that's because I play MMOs in a very 'solo' or single player focused style, and I really appreciate a fun and interesting story to keep me going. I'm sure there are other game components that are far more critical to the success of an MMO, so no surprise that frilly stuff like compelling characters and believable acting, gets left behind somewhat ...

Open world PvP! It's fun to PvP when you are least expecting and it makes the world feel more dangerous and alive.

"Traditional" endgame progression. As much as I like the game I can only play it in short bursts because I feel there's nothing compelling to do.

If you mean "gear grind" then that pretty much conflicts with the entire premise of the game. If you mean raids then it already has those.

Well it does have a sort of pseudo gear grind, but it's like a 1% increase to do it. Guildwars has never really been about the gear, more about the content. That's one of the things that made the original great. Low level cap + gear that didn't matter was awesome. It was all about the builds. In GW2 on the other hand, you still have some customization for builds, but no where near the amount you had in GW1. They should bring that back.

I don't think we'll ever see the same amount of customization for builds as existed in the original Guild Wars because that made it a nightmare to balance.

Well I mean they did it and still came out with content more often than they have with GW2 :/ I miss that level of customization.

Holy trinity. Would LOVE to tank in this game.

Yes, but all the devs who were around for that agree it was a nightmare to do Also content production doesn't factor into that because the devs who work on balance are not the same one who are creating new content.
