    Mark Sanchez...really?

Well at least they didn't give up much for him.

Sanchez being the starter might not happen. Even if it does, go compare Osweiler's numbers to Gabbert, Hoyer, Weeden and even Cassel last year. There is a reason Denver had the 31st rank pass offense last season, and Sanchez might actually be an improvement as long as he does not run into the back of his o-line. His cap number for next year is 4.5 mill with 1 mill guaranteed and cost a probably 6th or 7th round pick. I would take him over the level of play by the previous QBs mentioned for 18 mill any day.

I am a little scared if Schofield ends up playing though, that combination could provide some more butt fumbles.

I've been busy with Hearthstone all day, so I'm only now catching up on news. I have to say "WOW" on the Sanchez to the Broncos. That pretty much guarantees they are drafting a young QB to be THE guy in the future.

In happy news, the Compensatory picks have been announced:

New England gets a 3 and 3x 6th round compensations. I'd hoped for better picks than those 3x 6, but going to have to take it I guess.

You could trade them all in for a first!

Who am I kidding. What's the latest courtroom bollocks on that anyway?

Just think of it this way, skipped the Brian Griese era and went straight to Plummer. Which I guess that means get ready to lose to the Colts in the first round of the playoffs the next 2 years.

    Who needs a holder?

Mo Claiborne gets a one-year deal to be back in Dallas. Guess it's good to have depth if he stays healthy.

It would help if the Cowboys or Chiefs would do something interesting.

Tolzien was QB at Wisconsin before Russell Wilson, bounced around, ended up with the Packers, made enough money to buy his own clipboard which he proudly carries on the sidelines, don't know how his dance moves are but its safe to say that they're not as good as some backup QBs. He also doesn't have his own commercial, so he is, no doubt, a backup among backups.

Be careful what you as for. You may unleash the power of JJ's crazyness, which means I'll have to go wherever you live and take away your computer permanently.

Indeed, these are not things to be said the day Manziel is released. Bite thy tongue, Pendulous!

You could always read mock drafts until all knowledge is replaced with prospect names.

Yeah, it's been a pretty bland Free Agency overall I feel. There were some surprises and big contracts, but it was pretty streamlined, pretty much every important player signed with the team he was rumoured to go to, first go. There was no days long back and forth about Osweiller or any of the other big names. They all pretty much went from "They're a free agent and we don't know" to "They've agreed" without any "They're going to do this or that" periods or drama. Last year just Frank Gore and DeMarco Murray together were good for 5 pages of speculation minimum.

I also think we would have had more speculation going on if there had been more posters from Broncos or the teams with big cap space or teams that made huge deals that were fueling discussion. Woz and Norganon basically disappeared till things were already settled and there's no one in here from the Jags or the Giants or the Texans. Last year with the Eagles mad house we had several posters from Philly posting, but that didn't really happen this year with the mentioned teams

Would be nice if we could get posters for those teams in here, but yeah, have to just hope people see this thread and get interested. Can't really do more than have this thread and just talk about stuff and hope?

I guess "interesting" should be translated into "positive".

Same except for players who played at Florida or Alabama. It's hard to follow 100+ some odd college teams and three times as many players.
