    New Pet Models (13/4/2016)

    Feel like they could do more to hide the "tail" but it's nice that he's been working out :P

    Looks pretty sweet. Wish they had other color options though-the greenish/black ones from the Blood Elf starting area are sick looking.

    IDK man, at the very least there's definitely more polygons on the brow and fingers, head has been slightly re-proportioned, and obviously the bracers are redone. The tail also definitely has more polygons on it, even if you can still see it and it isn't properly concealed under particles as it should be :P
    Maybe it's less visible in motion.

    I think some people say "retexture" when they mean "uses the same skeleton".

    A lot of WoW models share skeletons.

    I don't know if this uses the same skeleton though, would have to see an animation.

    This. It adds extra geometry, so it's definitely not a retexture.

    no i mean i think it's a retexture, it obviously shares the same skeleton

    No I think it's definitely a new model, not a new skin over the old one.
    It's pretty faithful to the original, but you can clearly see curves where there weren't before, and a skin can't turn a pointy edge into a curve.

    bracers are clearly new, the arching shape is still jagged though, if it's a new model it's extremely low effort with a shit tier polygon count

    voidwalker undulates as part of his animation, the back will go flat -> spiky -> flat

    Definitely has more polygons, you can see his face and body are sculpted now. I'm not sure why that would be surprising, all the other pets got remodels too.
