From the looks of the trailer, it's either set in southern Kalos (see the palm trees and the colonial style architecture) or it's set in an tropical-Asian country with colonial architecture (see the palm trees). The innards of the new Pokemon Center also lend credence to this.

Its pretty much all but confirmed to be China at this point. The new pokemon so far are based on things from China, the concept art showed stylised versions of countryside architecture from Singapore and most importantly they are making a huge deal about it having multiple chinese language options on launch, like movies some games companies are desperate to get into the potential huge userbase of China in a way the ministry of culture allows and just like how the last transformers and batman films have to have scenes in china nowadays a pokemon set in that region of the world will be given a much more lenient passage into being one of the few articles allowed there in retail and not through dodgy imports.
