Buddy, I genuinely see no difference in renting a room to a British, German, Syrian, Australian or Norwegian national. In fact, I think the Syrian might have by far the most interesting stories to tell. I'm not one of those brainwashed halfwits who instantly relate everything Syrian to terrorism.

I love this part though: Should problems arise during the time of co-habitation, the same rules apply as with any other flatmate.

Please be aware that at least in the USA there are stringent rules regarding someone living or renting a room in your home, often heavily favoring the person renting or living. It can take months, personal time and money to get someone evicted.
