We had a mild winter this year.

Mild winters tend to go out with a bang and last a lot longer than usual. Harsh ones tend to be cold as shit early on with lots of nasty weather but over much sooner.

Yeah this year was really warm. SE Texas didn't go below 40, and I only had to put on a jacket once or twice.

Last year was freezing and everything just down for like 3 days due to ice in comparison.

Yep mild winter. I left my windows open the whole time it was great. But now the heat comes and Texas starts to look like a worse punishment than hell itself.

At least in southern sweden where I live o have noticed that the winter comes later every year. For example I can't remember the last time I saw snow on Christmas eve where I live. Yet I have seen snow in April etc

April, April does what it wants. While there is an undeniable trend going on, you shouldn't mix weather with climate.

I am seeing similar things too. The warming of the earth seems to be screwing up the planets weather patterns so they are yo-yoing between extremes. One year winter is very cold the next its as if there is no winter. Not good.

How anyone can be in denial about all this is beyond me.

I think the problem is trying to physically connect something abstract (the calendar) to something fluid (the weather).

We had a very awkward season. March is one of the hotter ones we've seen while April is the coldest in 25 years.

We get more rainy conditions during summer, we get more autumn-like weather during winter.
