    Good luck with the copium.

Most of us will spend more time laughing at the disappointment of the poor people who Charlie Brown the football one more time than we will watching that steaming pile.

The only thing I want to see is their version of Lanfear. I need a very, very good laugh at who they display as the most beautiful woman any man has ever seen.

I’m behind on watching shows but I’ll likely bump this to the front of my list and try and keep up with it given that I’m currently going through the books.

The great hunt is my favourite of the books so I’m hoping the show will increase a bit in quality from being a bad adaptation and just a ok show.

We have presumably already seen her in the trailer unless there going to make her use a disguise (beyond making her self look a bit younger) or change it to a different character.
Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.

None of the women in the trailer are even relatively attractive, so I have to believe that isn't the case..... but you could be right. That would be truly funny.

Oh lord you're right. I rewatched that on YT and there is a scene of a dark haired woman cuddling against bald? Rand. That definitely has to be their Lanfear unless they are just completely throwing any comparison to the books to the wind (maybe).

She looks old and not attractive at all.

    Color me shocked.

Do you realize that what you will be doing fits copium more than hoping something will be better?

Not my personal preference for “most beautiful woman in the world” but I’d say it’s pretty safe to assume if you think Natasha O'Keeffe is not attractive at all your crazy or blind.

The problem, just like the last time attractiveness came up, is everyone has a subjective definition of what is or is not attractive. Some might try to use more objective standards but they are still interpreting it into what they like and don't like. It is impossible to the image of a character they had in their head but that doesn't matter if they get to complain about the show.

I would be curious to see how many like Robert Jordan's own pick, a younger Catherine Deneuve, and if they would complain about her being casted for the role.

I agree, though I don’t believe any honest person could say the actor in question doesn’t hit any level of attractive unless there standards are like 1 in a million far out there.

I mean, to each their own I guess, but Lanfear (Selene as she was going by at that time), was young and so beautiful that she made men forget what they were thinking.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I wouldn't even call this woman even slightly attractive. I looked through images of her for a younger photo, because I assumed she was in her 50s from the way she looks, figuring that maybe she was more attractive decades ago.

She is 36. This is what you find attractive?

I would have expected a woman like Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox when they were younger. Maybe someone who looked a bit classier than them, but at least on that level of conventional attractiveness.

I would say that my standards are "if you can't do better than your average CW program with Amazon money then you failed".

You could argue she is an amazing actress, but I've seen what they cast for this show. None of them can act their way out of a box.

And there it is. Find a picture you think is the worst display and use it as evidence. You find nothing attractive about the image at https://www.unitedagents.co.uk/natasha-okeeffe

Oh…, I just realized. The Wheel of Time has already turned Ages have come and pass, leaving memories that became legend and Legend then faded to myth, with even that myth being long forgotten as the Age that gave it birth came again.

my personal taste would have a lot of people complaining about race swapping, but she’s not a bad looking woman.

Here you go, perfect example of an actress who fits the level of attractness that would be close to acceptable for Lanfear. (She doesn't look the part, but she is on the caliber of attractiveness)

And she was on a CW show. Amazon can easily find this by throwing a rock at a pile of actresses.

Damn we had this discussion and my mind already erased it? Wow. De ja vu.

Just to go with the same show, and since you said your tastes skew darker, would this be attractive enough for you?

Sadly, Amazon again failing to a CW show.

I wouldn’t say that’s a great picture but I’d say she’s not a bad looking woman as well.

If I was disregarding book description all together and just going for attractive I’d likely cast V. Bozeman, which wouldn’t work with the description for more then one obvious reason.

If I was trying to stay closer to the book that’s a harder question with the only actress I can think of being Natalie Portman at the time of V for Vendetta (haven’t seen her in much else).

I always imagined her as Jennifer Connelly, but while she is an amazing actress, she is far past the time she can play this role.

Its returning already? Compared to the first season advertising for this seems to have been almost non-existent.

I always had someone like Catherine Zeta-Jones from Mask of Zorro era in my head.

Are people really arguing that Natasha O'Keeffe isn't hot enough to be Lanfear? That's the level of criticism right now?

  18. #3718
I don't think they realize that even CZJ or Jennifer Connolly don't look as good as those pictures, which are in highly controlled, fictionalized settings. Like, you think only prosthetics people take hours in the makeup chair? These ladies have hours of makeup and styling to look like that, often with multiple people helping. The picture of the actress playing Lanfear above is in a party setting at a candid, unposed angle, and not styled.

It feels like y'all don't know any women in real life.

Cool we never said we expect a woman to look like this IRL on a dime. What was said was that if you are going to portray Lanfear, who is renown for her beauty, you should get a woman that can pull it off, even if that requires make up. Then the examples were given. We have seen her in the trailers, it was commented on, and in our opinion she doesn't pull it off.

Oh I'm sorry do we need to come to you now before we can have an opinion?

Oh and if it helps here she is for us to compare in show

FYI I also think Bald Rand looks bad too.

Anyways in this picture she looks more his mom than one of the worlds most renown beauties.
