    Overwatch was hyped? Really?

I just knew about it cause it's there on the battle.net launcher, no one i know even heard about it.

But I love FPS so when i got my stress test weekend key, i instantly fell in love. Been playing non stop.

While I enjoy TF2, OW is much more diverse. Being a tank in OW is so gratifying, pop a shield and cover your allies while they snipe or lob bombs everywhere. Sit on a payload with shield on and cheese it. If you're bored of sitting around as a tank, go pharah and rain down some missiles or snipe with blackwidow. Go Genji if you like deflecting stuff or if you love annoying people to hell and back, Tracer.

But like all team games, sometimes you just want to pull your hair out. People don't seem to get that blackwidow is a sniper, not freaking soldier76 omfg.

Yeah, no, I get it. You thought that it was more prudent to make yet another thread to promote your own feedback rather than post your two cents in an existing thread. After all, had you posted in an existing thread, your opinion would've been just another opinion among many others, and would've disappeared into the background noise, but making your own thread, well, that's a much better way of underlining your own opinion.

I enjoy it, and will likely buy it later down the road (one of my friends gave me his extra key), but it's not a game I see myself playing more than an hour or two here and there. I don't think I could play it solo, as having friends to coordinate with and bullshit with while playing makes a big difference. I start feeling burnt out after like, 5 or 6 matches. But, then again, I can't really play any one game more than like 1-2 hours anymore before needing a break, so it might not be OW, but myself.

It might be the lack of a ladder or decent matchmaking, but just playing game after game for XP... it just feels dull. The loot boxes are so random that it's hard to look forward to them. With 20 characters, the chances of getting something decent for the ones you play are rather small. As it is right now, there's little reason for me to do anymore than just play a game or two with friends once and awhile.

The people who keep pinning tf2 on it are the people who havent played OW and have no clue what they are talking about and yet love to tell everyone what they don't know.
It's also worth nothing that while sure, Heavy Weapons guy runs slower than the Pyro for example, except for the Scout's double-jump there's no real movement variation in TF2. Nobody's got Ultimates, jetpacks, grappling hooks, parkour or time reversal. It's a completely different paradigm that has a massive effect on gameplay.

I can't play for more than 5 minutes at a time - my hand cramps from pressing the move mouse button whilst moving the mouse to look. It needs a move on/off toggle.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

I completely agree, I played both and honestly find Overwatch to be a lot more fun! It's like it feeds you adrenaline juice when you play with friends.

For me, thats a good thing. I loved TF2! And what they did with gameplay in Overwatch is amazing. So TF2 style of game with UT and Q3A type of gameplay... what you want more? There lacks something new, I agree but this is Blizzard. We really don't have to worry about that.

it's a good game but I think some heros are way too op (Reinhardt, Roadhog and some others..)

and there's too much random shit killing you

the game would be far more enjoyable with the complete removal of ults

I don't wanna die to overpowered bullshit, I'm not interested in getting blown up by your robot or wheel thing, the only way I should die is if someone outplays me or if 3 people gun me down

maybe it's not my type of game I don't know, but nothing pisses me off more than getting killed by some stupid ult

I've enjoyed it a lot. I am simply worried that without a group of friends it won't be too much fun for long. I had similar issues with Heroes of the Storm with everyone seemingly picking stupid heroes to play that didn't work with the comp you were goign with in Hero league. Hope it is different in competitive, but people certainly dont think much about their picks when it comes to quick matches in Overwatch. It's Widowmaker/Soldier/Bastion, those three seem to be some sort of an obsession for some people.

Same stuff, maybe but in different ways. I certainly enjoy it way more than TF2.

thanks for the heads up, was torn on the decision of buying of this game

I wasnt overhyped about game, was more hyped about mini animated series about it, got in beta before blizzcon, and played alot first time since BF2 and cod4:mw i could again enjoy fps. Is this game groundbreaking? NO, but it dont have to be, it is well polished game, with clear blizzard style and that what makes it so fun for me.

They don't exist for tens of thousands of people to start their own, separate threads about what they like and don't like, and how they couldn't manage their expectations and were swept up by the hype. You can consolidate such conversation into a single thread. However, I would say the forums exist for dialogue on actually substantive issues, and whether a game lived up to the hype for some random person isn't that.

    Nerf mei. (half j/k)

Just had an escort mission and at the last few meters half the opposing team went mei and it was pretty much impossible. I'm sure there's something we could've done but it was pretty much instant frozen and roadhog to pick you off as soon as you got near the escort car/tank.

Still very much enjoyed the game tho, winston is just too much fun.

Liked the game more and more as I played it.

When I first started playing I was perplexed at how they could let some glaring balance problems persist this close to launch, but most of those have gone away. Most of it was shear ignorance, or not completely understanding how each character counters one another. Don't get me wrong, I think there are some balance problems, but they are mostly small number tweaks on a handful of heroes.

I wish play of the games weren't exclusively tied to ultimate abilities though 90% of the time lol.

On that note I really don't think ultimate abilities are completed overpowered at all. I mean, obviously stronger than regular abilities, but most of them can be completely countered by paying attention, good aim, or just great communication.

It exactly what I expected. A very slow shooter made for Casualscrubs. I really don't see anything that would keep me playing. I played a few hours and I'm already bored. I feel its like RocketLeague, where you play 1-2 Games a week and then you are done with it for another week.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it, I'm having fun in all of the matches and the more time I spend playing this the more cool moments I have where I can't help but yell out in celebration, its not uncommon for me to go on killing sprees but there are some really cool things that can be done in this game, like coming back to a fight with Reinhardt and seeing the enemy lucio skating back to heal their group that are capping the objective and knowing that lucio moves faster than most characters I adjusted my angle, hit the rocket boosters and dragged the little bastard an additional 15 yards to squish his ass in the corner. Then I popped the shield up and walked into the control point with shield up and my team wiped out the opposing team as they entered the control point from behind the enemy. Had my angle been off by a tiny bit lucio would of been healing his group. It was funtastic.
